Ya cause a coach would do exactly what you are saying.
Everything just always works out because of math
Huh?

I'm going to throw a wrench in your minutes. Remove Hayward and the SF minutes since Gordon is the ONLY one of the 4 who can play SF.
Now you have 96 minutes to split between the 3. OK, that's perfect, right? We have a 3-man rotation with each one getting about 32 mins.
During some stretches, you will have Burke and Smart on the court together. That's a recipe for disaster: 1) neither can shoot; 2) they're both midgets if you have that lineup (Burks at PG; Smart at SG).
Maybe I'm trying to convince myself that this will happen but I believe that one of the consensus top 4 will be available at 5 come draft night.
I don't know who it will be but I can easily see a team falling in love with one of the PF's or Smart.

I see that comp... but he will never have KG's fire and will.
What would it take for Vonleh to move to SF. Improve his handle and lateral quickness?
On the other topic, I think Favors + 5 might get you Parker at #3, but not Embiid. Philly might even throw in #10, but I doubt it.
Check burks 3 pt percentage vs haywards first.
Get back to me after checking it out
^like I said, ridiculous upside, but I worry about the heart.
not hard.. one thing to go to the gym.. another to want to rip a guy's heart out in the fourth.
I predict Gordon is a standout in Summer League. Book it.
what do you make of the narrative that Noah was a clutch high school player? ive seen that bantied about, its in his nbadarft.net profile
im certain hit at least a few gamewinners, some of them 3's
at 1:53 of this video you will see him hit a game winner vs Nerlens Noel
PG - 48 mins a night
SG - 48 mins a night
SF - 15 mins a night
Some simple third grade math gets you 111 mins a night for Burke, Smart, Hayward, Burks. That evens out to 28 mins per player. IDEAL. Toss in some night with foul trouble, matchups, off nights, whatever.
Or, hell, give Hayward 20 mins a night at SF instead of 15. Essentially 30 mins a night for each one. Problem solved. That still leaves 28 mins a night for another SF to come in and produce.
HOLY ****. IT WORKS.
Yeah, what about Burks.....unreal.
If Noah's ceiling is so high, and he works harder/more than anyone else, and his measurables so great, why isn't he the #1 pick?
The more I delve into Randle, Noah and Gordon, the better Smart looks.
And that kinda sucks.
Burks .35 career on 280 attempts
Hayward .365 career on 769 attempts
Burks rookie year he attempted the least amount of 3's in his career and shot his worst percentage from 3 for his career. He worked on his 3pt shot (since it was such a weakness) and then attempted more 3's in each of his next 2 years and shot a much better percentage.
Hayward was at his best shooting the 3 in his rookie year and got worse
#SelectivePerception
I'm sure over the summer some bleacher report jazz page or something will segment different shot types of both.
Call it what you want but according to stats, it seems like burks has improved his outside shot since he came into the league and hayward has gotten worse.
I think its better to improve than get worse at things
I think Vonleh is bustproof. He'll space the floor just fine from either forward spot. Here's some of that confident sweet stroke in an open gym session with other college players. I actually think Vonleh is a bit underrated and under the radar because he played out of position at Indiana, and their guards didn't do a good job of getting him the ball in rhythm.

"The young core of Burke/Hayward/Jabari/Harris/Favors/Kanter is cheap, athletic, skilled, and primed to grow and succeed together in the Western Conference into the next decade."
Alec "Harris" Burks?

Jabari Parker, F, Duke
Statement from Jazz general manager Kevin McElroy: Coming into the draft with the 5th and 23rd picks, the forward-poor Utah Jazz did not expect that they’d be able to add arguably the best prospect in the draft (and a Mormon to boot!) as well as a 21-year-old who is already an above-average NBA forward to their roster.
No, they picked up Harris in the trade with Orlando. I'm sure that would make Cy happy.

I'm just waiting for you guys to get to the part where the Jazz trade GMoney

Missed that one.
But check out the next Jazz-related pick:
"We have a trade! The Philadelphia 76ers trade the #19 and #23 picks to the Utah Jazz for Gordon Hayward."
Atleast we get pick #23 back.
