The only problem is that we're not playing football. You can't switch each time you go down the court. Besides, to trade into the top 10-12 to get McDermott is going to require a player and the #23. Is he worth Burks or Kanter?
The problem the Jazz have had for a LONG time is too many one-dimensional players (Boozer, Memo, AK, Brewer, Kanter, Favors). It's one of the reasons I'd be scared to death of taking Parker. To me, there is a clear top-3 in this draft: Embiid, Wiggins and Vonleh. Those are the three players most likely to be impact players on both ends of the court. Parker is going to be Carmelo without the attitude. Exum, Gordon and Smart have questionable shots. Gordon would be my second choice at #5, though. He's at least a great player defensively and would bring some fire.
