No Kanter in the FIBA WC 2014 and His Injury is More Serious Than It Has Been Declared!

According to the Turkish NT coach Ergin Ataman who has recently talked to Kanter's side, Enes had an operation on his meniscus and it wasn't a simple one, he apparently had to have some stitches on it(I've no idea what that does mean medically). So, he won't be able to catch the NT preparation camp, which they have already started, and 90% chance(he sounded much more certain) that he won't be in the final roster.

But more importantly, he said that he is not allowed to do anything for full two months!


Btw, it wasn't clear whether if he was talking about the operation that we all know Enes had, or about a new procedure. But I am almost sure that it's the former.

Well, this is bad. Kanter needed to show something early in his forth year. This won't help. Out of shape, trying to learn new offense, contrAct year. Sigh.

Seems to be you are the one that is drama.
 
This is pretty much par for a meniscus tear. If the repair it, you are basically sidelined for 6-8 weeks to see if it heals. If it doesn't heal, then they might need to go in and remove parts of the meniscus, then there's another few weeks. It sucks because he won't be able to get into shape, but it's really not that concerning for the strength of his knee. Although if the surgery doesn't work, then he'll probably have more knee problems later in life, but probably doesn't affect his basketball career that much.

I may not be able to play for NT. I will be on NT. Surgery was serious and I won't be on NT. Maybe it's not drama. But it's certainly issues. They seem to follow him everywhere he goes. It dates as far back as his Turkey/UK drama. Oops. there's that word again.

He never said he will be able to play for NT, though. He simply said that he wants to play if he heals.
 
Now will being injured be the excuse for Jzz fans as to why Kanter sucks. will it be omething along the lines like, " Kanter injury set him back when he was on track with a new coach to earn p.t."????????????????????

Yes, spot on!

I sure will use it as an excuse, just to piss you off, at the very least.
 
I am not convinced that this is anything more than Kanter giving the middle finger to his national team.
 
Feel bad for kanter if this is all true. He's a hard worker and has had some bad luck. It's not drama at all. He needs a dietician to help him while he is unable to exercise.... At least it will help him come into camp at a decent weight.

This is a big year for him and his future here. If he struggles I think we go a different direction. And you know Gobert's going to be ready to step up.
