What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Well if you havent seen Nebraska, you should. It's a good solid American movie.

That's one I've wanted to see.

One of my biggest problems is that my wife doesn't like a movie unless it's a comedy. I like comedies, but I like stuff a little deeper than that sometimes, too.

Judas ****ing priest. You asked for a reco and I gave you won. I didn't know your wife was going to be involved. I heard Frozen was good. Give it a try.

No, my wife isn't going to be involved. Just saying, it sucks because I can't get her to watch anything good. Not related.

She watched Frozen while I was at work.

Nebraska should easily satisfy both of those needs

I don't go to movie theaters. Can't believe they still exist, tbh.
You can't believe people prefer watching movies on oversized screens they might not have access to otherwise?

Anyhow, I see what you're doing here..

Sharing my opinions and trying to get a movie rec out of Vinylone since he posted like 20 movies he's seen recently and he's someone who's opinion I generally respect?

You're pretty observant. Congratulations.

Big screens are awesome, that way the explosions are extra ****ing impressive and you hardly notice the teenagers throwing lemonheads around, or the crying baby, or the bitch on her cell phone, or the $12 ticket price and the $9 popcorn. Yeah, who wouldn't want to endure all that to see a movie?

Jesus, maybe you should go to some different movies, theaters, or attend movies at different times. As far as the popcorn, it's not mandatory to buy it you American butter****er.

I'm a basic bitch.

I like the popular big blockbuster Hollywood movies.

Loved braveheart.

Braveheart's a good ****ing movie doe. It's not like all Hollywood films are predetermined ****ty by default
Yup.

I feel like some movie buffs automatically think that if a movie has a huge budget, lots of advertising, high powered actors, and makes tons of money, then it sucks.

Just saw Fury today. I liked it quite a bit. Thought it was a bit heavy handed/over the top, but still enjoyed it.

Very gory and brutal

Yup. That's the usual experience at most movie theaters even here in LA. Thankfully, we also have a good amount of art house, smaller movie theatre chains like the Laemmle and places like the Arclight.

I hate kids.

Ain't nothing wrong with that. People like what they like and I'm glad there are all sorts of options for people.

There are some huge budget movies that are out of the ****ing world and deserve the praise they get.

Good on ya viny

Just saw Nightcrawler, didn't plan on seeing it but nothing was on (not a big fan of Hobbit or Hunger game).

Was alright, started out slow but got a bit more interesting in the middle. Watching the trailer before hand certainly didn't help.

I'd probably give it 8/10.

Gone Girl- there was 2 distinct parts, first part definitely stronger than the second. Felt like the second part throws out any rational thought and goes total bat**** crazy. Acting excellent, Rosamund Pike was great. Directing as you expect top notch, I was not a big fan of the story, felt like Fincher elevates the material as far as he can. 'It's Twincest'

Life Itself - growing up watching Siskel & Ebert on tv got me interested in what those guys were really like off screen, and this documentary really covers their relationship in depth. Very honest and comprehensive look into Ebert's life. Tough to watch his final days but he lived a hell of a life, well worth watching.

Had nothing to do yesterday so watched movie called "Would you rather" on Netflix. Very stupid and poorly executed sadistic movie. Don't waste your time on it.
