It's summer. He's a successful pick for the Jazz just because he's made summer entertaining. I'll be down to earth with expectations when the season hits. But for now he's the Chuck Norris of the Jazz.

The question is who will replace Hoods productivity. Hood is capable of replacing Haywards role. Burks + Ingles + Spidey is my hope. Favors coming into his own would be nice to have as a net gain.

I believe Hayward wants to leave based on past perceived sleight (the scars DL referred to). Boston is attractive for some reason, but higher risk there than staying in Utah in terms of chasing a title. Enter Miami... Pat Riley has a proven track record of building to win, and doing so quickly...

In Utah, he pays income tax on all games played in Utah at his Utah tax rate. That is 41 home games. In Miami half of his games are now tax free. Thats a pretty significant chunk of money. A *rough* guess is that on $20M per year he pays about $500K of Utah income tax since only half of that...

Gotta think Hayward is giving FO a chance to get terms with Hill first, letting Miami get the "long shot bid" in. Hill misses, then he can look hard at Boston. Hill signs AND he sees plan to upgrade talent somewhere else on roster he stays.
