    DL's Approach

A bird in the hand, I get it. I just question whether we're capable of adding enough talent around him to legitimately contend without relying on everything breaking our way. Gobert isn't the type of talent you trade so I understand the thinking & don't completely disagree. I just think we're in...

    DL's Approach

It may be too soon to logically discuss the best approach moving forward, but I think it's important to consider. I expect the FO to build around Gobert & count on internal development, bargain FA's/acquisitions, defense/intensity. But do people believe this is a realistic potential path to a...

    Rate the Off-season.

Definite missed opportunity, especially if we intend to compete while rebuilding as he could've played some 4 & brought similar qualities as Crowder would have + the type of attitude/character we should be surrounding our young talent with. Not to mention, most importantly, the future assets...

    Rate the Off-season.

Losing Hayward was obviously devastating, but removing that from the equation, I believe DL has had a great off-season thus far. *He turned a possible bust in Lyles + the #24 pick into a potential impact player, who fits this team perfectly skill + attitude-wise *He also moved up for...

    Jabari Parker

I presented this idea in a seperate thread but didn't receive a response. Depending on availability + cost, Parker would be a great target. He should fit alongside Gobert & is young enough to be a part of our long-term future. Also, his ties with the state could play a factor in our ability...

    My Concern on Donovan Mitchell

Not what I meant at all. Smart is a fiery player who gives his all 100% of the time on the court. He's one of my favorite players to watch. But IMO he seems (speculation) potentially more difficult to coach. Also, IMO, Mitchell appears to be the type of individual who is extremely self-aware &...

    My Concern on Donovan Mitchell

Mitchell's work ethic alone makes it likely that he develops into a better offensive player than Smart

    Hood

I don't trust his health/consistency enough to confidently commit significant long-term money to him. He certainly has a shot at being an impact scorer but I would prefer we gauge his value on the trade market. I don't doubt this actually happens, however, as I fully expect the FO to attempt to...

NBA Free Agency Moves in General (related to the Jazz, but not just moves made by the Jazz)

I know this has been brought up a lot in the past, & I'm not positive it's even an option, but J.Parker could be a good target. Obviously there are injury concerns & he is about to become a RFA, but I would rather pay him than Hood as Parker should hypothetically fit alongside Gobert & Mitchell...

    Free Agents Still Available

Mirotic seems like the logical fit assuming we can get him on a reasonable contract

THE TRUTH about Hayworthless and the state of the Jazz after-(whore)ward

I'll go down with the ship regardless & enjoy the ride but winning a championship should always be the priority. I will be disappointed if we don't operate in a manner that at least has the potential to allow us to contend in the future. I would rather swing & miss than settle for early playoff...

    Extensions, baby!

I hope we hit the re-set the reset button but that's unlikely. My guess is we retain both Exum/Hood to build around, along with Mitchell/Gobert(/Bradley) + Rubio/Ingles(/hopefully Crowder) providing leadership. I also expect DL to potentially move Favors/JJ for future assets by the deadline...

Undisputed HATES Gordo going to the Celtics. Claims big mistake

Fair enough, Hayward certainly doesn't come off as a natural leader. I do believe he will be the "player coach" however, due to his rapport with BS. And I don't envision IT in their long-term plans so I believe it will eventually become Hayward's team over time.

Undisputed HATES Gordo going to the Celtics. Claims big mistake

There's no way Brown doesn't get mins & I would be shocked if Tatum didn't as well. As far on passing on Fultz, I imagine DA is stockpiling assets in hopes of landing thst #1 option if/when he becomes available.

Undisputed HATES Gordo going to the Celtics. Claims big mistake

Both of which are highly valuable trade assets, not to mention the future BKN + LAL/SAC & excess talent. Also, I would be shocked if Hayward isn't part of the long-term future. I expect him to be the young veteran leader/2nd coach, IT to get traded by the deadline, & the FO to attempt to move...

Undisputed HATES Gordo going to the Celtics. Claims big mistake

Also, the fact that DA didn't draft Fultz makes me wonder whether Hayward was truly on the fence so DA was hedging his bets or if he sold Hayward on a long-term plan of eventually packaging a surplus of assets for a true superstar.

Undisputed HATES Gordo going to the Celtics. Claims big mistake

Regardless of whether Hayward is Bird/an all-star/etc & how he fits in BOS, he was invaluable to this team. He is a legit #2/3 on a championship caliber team (which are extremely difficult for small-market teams to obtain). Losing him hurts but you can't deny his talent Ainge's approach will...
