nazr mohammed wore #2 for the san antonio spurs when he won his only NBA championship. the 14-year vet made his 2nd NBA finals appearance last year with the thunder. of course, the jazz technically drafted nazr, but traded him on draft night because they were coming off their 2nd finals themselves and didn't feel like their rotation -- much less their frontcourt -- needed a lot of help. so they traded him for a 1999 pick, but don't worry, we got plenty of value in return for an eventual champion with a 14 year (and counting) career: we draft quincy lewis with that pick. quincy debuted on the 2nd of november that year, but would only play for 2 teams in his brief career before heading to europe. oops, we might want that one back.
in 2003, bryon russell unexpectedly reunited with the player who made him an infamous footnote in finals history when he signed with michael jordan's wizards. b-russ wore #2 for the wizards. he played two full seasons after that, plus a 1-game appearance for the nuggets in 2005-06.
after rony seikaly allegedly vetoed a trade to utah in 1998, he was traded to the nets where he wore #2. he only started 2 games for the nets though (out of 18 total games) because at that point he was very limited by injuries.
mo williams wore #2 for the cleveland cavaliers, where he played 2nd fiddle for lebron james but the duo got bounced in the conference finals two straight years.
