2011 draft.....

Knight will be a good player in this league. Mark it down.

I want a few players before him, but would be happy if end up with his talent at 6.

Agreed! The few players I want to take before Knight, well Irving and DWill2. Seriously though, if Utah ends up with the 3rd pick, who do you pick?

If Jazz go big or get a SF with their first pick, what do you guys think of trading down from the #12 to pick of Selby (PG) from Kansas. Kid was a #1 HS recruit in one poll, and was awful his freshman year mainly due to injury. Kid is impressing at workouts and working his way up draftboards, but still projects to be a mid to late 1st rounder.

Word on Selby is he is a head case. Jimmer is not a head case, can play right away, sells jerseys the first day they are printed, and shoots the three. I wonder what the Jazz will do?

But it doesn't matter 'cause that 12th pick is going be a top 3 pick---believe it.

I will give you some if that comes true.

BREAKING NEWS

The NBA combine invitee list is out:

https://www.draftexpress.com/article/NBA-Draft-Combine-Participants-List-3700/

The combine starts the day after the draft lottery. 54 Players invited.

Most shocking news is that most of the international players will not be there:

Jonas Valanciunis, Lietuvos Rytas (Lithuania), Ranked #4
Jan Vesely, Partizan Belgrade (Serbia), Ranked #6
Bismack Biyombo, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (Spain), Ranked #7
Donatas Motiejunas, Benetton Treviso (Italy), Ranked #9
Nikola Mirotic, Real Madrid (Spain), Ranked #18
Davis Bertans, Union Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia), Ranked #28
Bojan Bogdanovic, Cibona Zagreb (Croatia), Ranked #33
Michael Dunigan, BC Kalev (Estonia), Ranked #58
Xavi Rabaseda, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (Spain), Ranked #59
Giorgi Shermadini, Union Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia), Ranked #60

All are stillplaying in Europe and will not be in Chicago. It will be interesting to see who the Jazz bring in.

In case anybody out there is interested Enes Kanter will be at the combine.

If the Jazz had the first, second or third pick, who would they select?

Well if it is #1 or #2 the Jazz well take Irving or Williams. #3 is were it gets hard. I think they would look Hard at Kanter at #3 or maybe even reach with Knight. Don't see them taking one of the other Euro's unless its Kanter at 3. And looking at the list of Euros that are sitting out the combine that makes me even more sure of that.

Good tidbit from slamonline about Kanter.

Having the chance to watch Enes shoot nearly 200 jumpers throughout the two workouts, we can tell you that this cat has certainly improved his J-work. He was nearly automatic inside of the European three point line, showing his potential to stretch the D as a 4/5 (whether he likes it or not, I’m sure he’s going to play some center). When the big man stepped out beyond the NBA arc, he showed off a smooth release and had solid, but not spectacular results shooting 13/25 and 15/25 respectively. More importantly, Enes made considerable improvement speeding up the release of his shot and cleaning up the loose ends of his form. “We worked on my form a lot because I used to drop my left hand every time and now they yell at me ‘left hand up!’ each time I shoot,” explained Kanter with an infectious smile. “Before, my elbow was out a little bit when I shot. Now it’s not, and I’m shooting the ball much better.”

Any word about him doing defensive drills?

The thing I think I like about Enes Kanter most are some of the names surrounding him; John Calipari (a total tool, but great at producing NBA players) and Tim Grover.

Outside of that, we just don't know much. Very excited to see what happens with the lottery and the combines.

Some tweets from Chad Ford as of yesterday:

Josh Selby had an incredible workout today. Showing a lot more explosiveness than I saw at Kansas. Very competitive.

Josh Selby looking terrific again today. Really can create space off dribble. Have a feeling he's a big riser on draft boards over nxt month

Um, so some changes to the ESPN mock lottery apparently. They now have Knight being drafter over Kemba Walker, and Kawhi Leonard has gone from the 9-12 range to top 4 for some reason. As it stands it has the Jazz going with Kemba and Alec Burks.

Draft Express updated thier Mock yesterday. Kemba Walker moves up to #3, the Boards favorite Enes falls to #8.

This draft is all over the place, and although the combine will start putting players in place, the Jazz had better be working overtime to get it right.

If we take Vesely with Bismack and Kanter still on the board I'll lose it...
