I've just watched the combine. It would be very difficult to pass Kanter if he is still available at #3. Kid has the talent. I really liked the power dunks that shook the basket.
What's our rotation like if we take Kanter? Seems like we would have to trade/get rid of somebody to make room for the minutes he'll need.
Kanter would see limited minutes until he either earns more minutes or someone is moved. I think this is why Kanter didn't mention Utah as one of his preferred teams because immediate minutes will be difficult to come by.
Come on. Kanter has to know Okur plays for Jazz. Wouldn't he want to play with Okur?
Here's a good question. Who is Turkeys greatest player?
Can a case be made for Okur?
If so then certainly Kanter would want to play with Okur.
Kanter probably doesn't realize Jazz now have a chance to get him.
These are the players I still like.
Of course one of Williams, Irving, and Kanter with the 3 pick... but for the 12...
If we get Irving, we should take Singleton.
If we get Kanter, we should take Jimmer.
If we get Williams, we should take Jimmer.
I still like Brooks, and Faried but don't think we should take them this high. I wouldn't mind Biyambo but I don't think he will fall to 12.
Thats all, TIA for not caring.
I think he cares more about getting PT than having a Turkish teammate.
Marshon Brooks is drawing some buzz as a potential first-rounder and looked good in workouts. The 6’5” guard shot the ball well, and his wingspan (7’2”) looks imposing for a perimeter player relative to his draft counterparts.
Which is why if Jazz take Kanter, Millsap is odd man out. Jazz would have a great rotation of Favors, Jefferson, Kanter, and Okur.
That is my worse fear. Singleton does appear to have more of a spot up game than Brewer does though. He appears to have the talent and skills, but does he have the "it" factor to produce consistently.
