2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

OP Jr. trying to play his way out of Washington... heady move.

Will be hilarious when he goes to his next team and immediately starts shooting better and looks happier.

I just don't understand why they haven't gotten rid of him yet. They could be out of the luxury and off that big contract already. It must be miserable being a fan of that franchise.

Losing to Cleveland by 20 feels like rock bottom... right?

Do you know who has had a few good games in a row... I’ll give you a hint... his name rhythms with Pabari Jarker.

Jrue has done a masterful job on Harden this game. I can definitely see why NOP wants to keep him for the retool.

Okafor looks awesome the last 5. Y'all notice anything?

His box-score stuff looks good, but I saw somewhere that his +/- was just terribly bad coming into this game.

Not that that's too bad, small sample, and he's just getting back into it. I wouldn't be surprised if he still turned out to be a rotation type guy somewhere.

Where did you see that?

I guess they haven't explicitly said that. I've been listening to so many trade podcasts that all the info must just be bleeding together lol. Everyone representing the Pelis in the podcasts are rejecting offers for Jrue.

They won’t trade Jrue until at least the draft... the offer we have talked about Utah offering is so “meh” ... they’d be dumb to rush trading him. Around draft time could get a premium pick and stuff for him imo.

Yeah probably. It seems like NOP doesn't want to go for a full rebuild. But if they did, it might behoove them to trade Jrue and just tank. They're only like 3 games out of the #6 draft slot. If they could trade AD after the lottery for something like Porzingis and the #2 pick, then have their own #6ish pick, plus whatever you got from trading Jrue, Mirotic, and Randle, that's a pretty freaking sweet haul. It'd be like Philly's process in one season lol.

Jrue is great but most think he is overpaid. There simply aren't that many teams who want Jrue while also having the assets they are willing AND able to send to get him.

Jrue is a missing piece type guy. Outside of us, who has the expendable pieces and numerous upcoming picks they can send for him?

Some will say he’s overpaid but nba gms likely don’t feel that way at all.

Philly could trump our offer... I could see Phoenix sending out their pick if it fell outside top 3... lots of teams can beat an offer of mediocre firsts... Allen and Exum don’t have much value.

Orlando too... could send their top 10 pick at draft time.
