Flip NPOY incoming.
Flip made a good decision if he’s really as good as some believe.
Ehh, not for Flip. He improves his shooting and shows strides as a playmaker and it's a huge bump for him.You can improve immensely as a NCAA player from Fresh->Soph and it still might not improve your draft stock. The two games are so different that becoming a better college player could be at odds with becoming a better NBA player.
It’s probably smart for him. Show he’s a good shooter and collect some of that Duke NIL money before he goes to China as a pro (I’m kidding… relax but seriously think it’s smart for him).Flip going back to college :’(
I like some of their stuff and will listen but feel like a couple of them are weirdos trying so hard to be different. One has Amen at 16 on his big board… wtf is that?No Ceilings did a 3 person mock draft. Utah got Cason at 9, Ausar at 13, and TJD at 28
Where does one find this?No Ceilings did a 3 person mock draft. Utah got Cason at 9, Ausar at 13, and TJD at 28

Jalen Hood-Schifino is growing on me the more I watch him. If we take a forward with our pick, I wouldn't mind taking him with the Minny pick.
JHS went top 10 in the No Ceilings mock. Some people really love him. This is the time of the year where we make lots of small concessions and try to talk ourselves into non-elite prospects.

You don't have to love a draft wevsites rankings to think they are a good website. I like hearing differing opinions that are well thought out. At the end of the day that is what draft content is about.I'm not a big fan of No Ceilings.
Exactly. You can improve immensely as a NCAA player from Fresh->Soph and it still might not improve your draft stock. The two games are so different that becoming a better college player could be at odds with becoming a better NBA player.
For Flip though I think its a good decision. Likely does pretty well with NIL money and Duke is an institution I'd hang around if I wasn't a guy that is for sure going to be a 5-10 NBA guy (I know guarantees and floors are a thing you don't love) I think if you flamed out of the NBA you will have a job at Duke if you stuck around a bit. I legit think Flip is a fringe first rounder and there is real danger in being a second round pick and just being cut loose. If he can guarantee he gets selected top 20 next year spending a year fine tuning things will be worth it.You can improve immensely as a NCAA player from Fresh->Soph and it still might not improve your draft stock. The two games are so different that becoming a better college player could be at odds with becoming a better NBA player.
They were in on him early... like really early. So I think it goes back to pre-college stuff. Not sure if that makes it better or worse.JHS went top 10 in the No Ceilings mock. Some people really love him.
Frank is like a 10 year pro now... Luka Garza about to get a solid payday (I'd give him 3-4M a year with no hesitation). That said... Flip should stay unless he is a surefire first round guy. The exposure at Duke is still great long term.Exactly.
"Great college player" is the worst backhanded compliment there is. Frank Kaminsky, Adam Morrison and Luka Garza are smiling in heaven right now. This guy is their spiritual successor.
Back in the day, when people still respected the college game and the best non-NBA players in the world were in the NCAA, going back to school was treated like a legit way to take your game to the next level. "Oh my God... this guy is good now, he's gonna be an ABSOLUTE MONSTER next year!"
These days it's like "Meh, the dude knew he was dropping into the 2nd round in this draft. He had no choice." (Which is literally what happened to Flip)
He needs to improve his shooting, sure, but he's also a ground bound big with lead feet. Not sure what he's gonna do about that. He'll put up big numbers next season... and he still won't be a lotto pick.
