2023 NBA Draft Megathread

If there’s a draft day deal, I hope it’s to trade up to #10. I don’t feel strongly enough about the guys above 9. But I’d still like to get whoever falls+first choice of the next group.

I searched every post I had that mentioned "black" and I can assure you that you have made this up.
Dude… I really didn’t feel like doing this but you forced my hand. This was in late April.

They also have Anthony Black at 15 which is comedy.
Why is that funny? I think that's pretty reasonable scenario. Black is very talented and a lot of people like him, but he's a weird fit on a lot of teams and could easily fall.
Black is a top-10 lock.
I think Black is more likely to go at 5 than at 15.
How is he a top 10 lock when he makes no sense for the Mavericks? If he falls past Utah, why would Dallas take him? Does Dallas want a non floor spacer development project next to Luka? This is what could potentially happen when we are talking about the jump Hendricks has made into the top 10.

ANd then if he falls past 10, why is Orlando taking him? They want another questionable shooting guard prospect to pair with Fultz and Suggs?

And then it's OKC. Does OKC want him when they have Giddey/SGA?

Then you got Toronto. They could potentially be a Black team, but maybe Toronto wants to reach on extreme potential in Bilal or GG Jackson. Or maybe they stick with their roster and are looking more towards immediate help and want a shooter like a Hawkins/Jett Howard.

Then you get to teams like New Orleans/Atlanta who are going to be drafting more for need than most other teams as they are trying to break into contender status.
Let me rephrase. He won’t fall past 9.
So you are making a definitive statement that he is Utah's guy at 9?
I think he’s going top-7 so if he fell to Utah I highly doubt we’d pass on him.
