Apparently not that well according to the draft people who watch more closely, but he is supposed to be able to (but people thought Sexton was a great defensive prospect (for a guy his size) coming into the draft)

Ever since he sold out to ESPN he has been phoning in his job. Draftexpress was such a good site and they had really good researchers.

Unfortunately, I feel like this happens to most draft guys. They start out providing good content on their own, but then they get more popular and start talking to players and agents. They will inevitably become mouth pieces.

For all the hate that this board is giving this draft I think the top 6 is starting to shape up really nicely and I think we will be firmly in that top 6.

Risacher
Sarr
Buzelis ( I know a lot on this board don't like him but I see a young Detlef Schrempf )
Cody Williams

I don't see a guy that I view as a surefire superstar but I think we are looking at 6 guys that have very good size and great skillsets for the nba with a lot of upside. Then there are still probably another 6 players that I really like that could work their way into that top 6 as the season goes on.

Locke is really pushing the rebuild now.

Safe to say Utah isn't going to make any win now trades.
He has been talking process, asset accumulation, long term stuff quite a bit. Not sure exactly how clued in he is with the new FO and talking about the games in a win loss manner is tough right now.

He did say he doesn't think we get a first for our guys this year... which I agree with. I wonder when we start settling for second rounders for our vets... hopefully not all the way to the deadline.

I read an article that said the Jazz might tank long enough to get back the pick owed OKC. That means 2 more years after this. This scares me some. I do think that the Jazz will tank next year also. I think DA wants to try and get into the Flagg sweepstakes. I guess the 2026 class is looking good also. Jazz would be stacked with young talent.

I think getting some extended time with a healthy Kessler and healthy Lauri will be important as we figure this out. Right now we look too far away and trading Lauri and going for the long rebuild makes the most sense. If we suddenly look much better now that Kessler and Lauri are healthy then we might be back to where we seemed to be at the start of the season where we looked like we could be a few pieces away from being good.

I don't understand why the Jazz didn't take tank last year for Wembanyama, but instead they are tanking this year.

Because they wanted to get value back for their players, specifically Mike Conley. It took until the trade deadline to get that deal done. Apparently, the Jazz offered Conley + Bojan to the Lakers during the offseason, but the Lakers held out.

If I had to predict a draft order at the moment, I would think it would go:
1 Topic
2 Holland
3 Sarr
4 Collier
5 Williams
6 Risacher
7 Walter
8 Buzelis
9 Castle
10 maybe Sheppard

Funny I am watching a video that is calling Tidjane Salaun the French Giannis. Funny their games aren't even similar. Salaun is a much better shooter but has no where near the athletism of Giannis. I like his game but come on.

Well by year two it will be more fun because the team will have more young talent.
