A brush with destiny -- Celtics at Jazz 3/28/2018 7:30 pm MST

We need to address outside shooting during the off-season. DM and Ingles can't do it all. I just don't expect the ball to go in when Rubio or Crowder shoot 3s

Simply matching Boston’s intensity would have won this game. No way a team void of any legit playmakers should have scored this much against Utah.

Utah just got exposed. Stick a fork in em. Was a good run. Their chasing a consolation prize of making the playoffs.

LOL ok dude. We've lost what, 5 out of the last 27 games or something? Tough loss, no question. Should have been a W. But exposed? We know what the Jazz are. A good team now that drops some games against inferior opponents. Stevens out-coached Snyder tonight.

By the way, we actually outrebounded them by 3 or thereabouts.

No Horford, no Irving, no Smart, no problem...Jazz simply outclassed by a much better team. I wish I didn't hate the Celtics so much. Ainge has done an amazing job building his team. KOC/DL let player after player walk for no return (except cap space which Lindsey used only once). Celtics hit on so many picks. Lindsey got Gobert and Mitchell but used 5 1st round picks to end up with Brickio as his starting PG.

They always do. You could give Stevens a team out of the local Y and he would make them competitive. Snyder on the other hand...

You're overreacting a little bit. Stevens and Snyder are both great coaches. If you've forgotten it was Quin who got the W in Boston. Brad got one on him tonight, nothing to stress about. Just like players have off nights coaches can too.

Yep and we beat them on their home court without Gobert. We outclassed them and we were the better team then. Funny how that works. Any team can beat any other team any given time.

This is much easier said than done... Terry Rozier is near Gobert levels of intense... Jaylen Brown, Semi Ojeleye, Yabusele, Shane Larkin... Nader... Baynes.. The C's roster composition is several top-guns (and one in training - Tatum) surrounded by some certified dogs...

C's showed a lot of grit tonight in that 4th quarter. That was like a good heavyweight fight the way this game swayed.

Jazz are hitting a streak where teams are just hitting a lot of shots on Utah. Boston shot 58% from 3 and a lot of those were heavily contested.

Meanwhile the Jazz shot 28%.

Also, it felt like Gobert dropped at least 3 offensive rebounds late in the game. Just brutal luck that turned into the worst defensive possession on the final play for the easiest shot of the night.

Rubio/Crowder - 3/14 from 3

Jingles/Mitchell - 5/14 from 3

Jazz shot a miserable 9/32 from 3.

Favors was a +15, but only got 23 minutes. I think Snyder messed up by playing Gobert and Crowder so much - especially when the Celtics has 2 bigs on the floor for a lot of the game.
