What's new

A brush with destiny -- Celtics at Jazz 3/28/2018 7:30 pm MST

I was just starting to worry less that we'd miss the playoffs, but it is likely going to be close. Or maybe when we win again I'll be like "we're a shoe-in!" Heck, I don't know. This year has been a huge roller coaster.

And the zone totally killed Utah. Donovan and Crowder looked lost against the zone and Rubio's confidence was shot tonight with his jumper.

You're overreacting a little bit. Stevens and Snyder are both great coaches. If you've forgotten it was Quin who got the W in Boston. Brad got one on him tonight, nothing to stress about. Just like players have off nights coaches can too.

Well he needs to put himself in the ****ing doghouse!! Guarantee you he admits no fault.

Simply matching Boston’s intensity would have won this game. No way a team void of any legit playmakers should have scored this much against Utah.

The Celitcs have good athletes, and they played hard and fast all night. They played their asses off on defense and scrapped out a win.

And yeh, Im ****ing pissed!

Brutal. This is a replay of the San Antonio game - Jazz can't get a rebound in crunch time.

Favors needs to finish some games - make them play to Utah's match-ups. The Favors/Ingles pick and roll is one of the best offensive weapons on the team. You can't put that in your pocket down the stretch of close games.

Don’t understand the Mitchell isolation over-and-over the last five minutes of the game. I get it for many possessions but every. single. one?!? That and the zone did Utah in.

YEah this is one of the few games where I think the coaching really hurt the Jazz. They missed a ton of open shots as well and it probably shouldn't have mattered. When you start missing shots all over the place guys get tight. But those PnR's at the end, and the offensive execution during that second quarter were horrific.

Playing great then we start to run the clock down to nothing and try iso ball forcing us to take a bad shot or turn it oover.. Makes no sense why we basically went prevent offense.
Playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Screws you over EVERY time. Jazz were on a roll, got a decent lead late and then tightened up again. Run the offense, knock it off with stupid turnovers and make your open shots.

A major weakness right now is that there are no shooters on the Jazz bench. Even if Quin wanted to take Rubio off to space the floor better, there is no one he can go to on the bench.

LOL ok dude. We've lost what, 5 out of the last 27 games or something? Tough loss, no question. Should have been a W. But exposed? We know what the Jazz are. A good team now that drops some games against inferior opponents. Stevens out-coached Snyder tonight.

By the way, we actually outrebounded them by 3 or thereabouts.

They were mystified by that 2-3 zone.. Between that and the switching from big lineups to small lineups the blueprint to how to throw Utah out of rhythm was put on display for all to see..

Y'all are giving way too much credit to the coaches, both ways. The Jazz had the lead, they knew the defense they were up against, yet their offense stifled, thats called execution, which is done by the players.

I will say, Ingles sometimes struggles a bit when the game gets sped up. That's one of the things I like about Exum. He plays better when the game speeds up.

Was gonna chime in before tip off that this would be the worst loss of the year if it happens. Sooo, yeah, let's not have that happen.
