Uh...it would be the other way around. It would be KOC stealing Jefferson from Dallas...
Does anyone know what Mehmet Okur's wingspan is? I don't care about height when comparing Jefferson to Okur.
Just curious who has a longer reach. Jefferson is more athletic obviously so just curious if anyone knows.
Jefferson: 7' 2.5"
Millsap: 7' 1.5"
Boozer: 7' 2.25"
Okur: ?
I say do it, its a risk with his injury history and if he can play center, but if it works out, we can compete for a top 4 seed.
Just curios, are those from when they where drafted? If so, its very reasonable to think Jefferson could have a 1-2 inch improvement, since he was drafted straight out of Highschool.
I called your bishop. He said the home teachers would come by and make sure you get there each week. For the love of God... I'll go to church for 3 months if it's true!
If that is the case, than I would say no to taking on Jefferson. I don't think he's worth 3/42 AND a draft pick.
And it will be protected. Protect it through 18 or so and give them the worse of the Utah or Memphis selection (provided Memphis makes the playoffs next season). Drafting in the late teens or worse usually nets you no better than a backup anyway. I'd much rather have Jefferson. What's the problem with letting go of a draft pick? Tell me, what exactly have we done with our first-round picks the last few years (Williams excluded)? Hmm? So how much value does that pick really have to us? What, will it blow a chance to get another Kris Humphries? (Who was picked one pick ahead of Jefferson, btw.)

From Stein's Twitter:
Just filed to ESPN.com: Sources say UTA has quickly moved into lead in race to acquire Al Jefferson from MIN and working now to seal deal

Look, I know he's a risk. But I also know how hard it is to stay upbeat when your team really sucks. Sure, he's a professional. But, it's just human nature to not give 100% when you're down by 20-30 pts. or you've lost 5-10 games in a row and are buried in the cellar. I think Jefferson would get an instant recharge coming to a winning environment, where he'll see Deron and Millsap working like dogs. And he'll see that working hard actually pays dividends.
More Stein:
Trade exception created by Boozer sign-and-trade can let UTA absorb Jefferson contract w/out sending out salary and seal deal w/draft picks
I don't want to get my hopes up here, but it does look promising.
