Chris Paul and Tony Parker think dunking is overrated.
Not every PG wants to dunk every possession. I remember when Paul and Dwill 1st got into the league they were dunking and stuff, then they realized that dunking was usually just a waste of energy and increased risk of injury.
He was 4th fiddle at best (and not a PG) at UK, and is... what, 3rd fiddle at best (and has played primarily as a 2) on the Clippers?
Walker has a 40 inch vertical and is extremely quick, you dumb ****.
Very legit point. The most legit point in favor of Bledsoe in regards to this debate.Easy answer. We know Bledsoe is an NBA player with potential to be great.
All we know about Burke is he is a great college player.
Don't overrate the unknown.
I have a bro-crush on Marcus Smart, so I'd pick him. But Bledsoe has already established himself in the NBA, and while he might not be what you'd traditionally think of in a PG, he can play.
Plus the thought of him, Burks, and Hayward all creating plays for each other does get me kind of frisky.

I'm not saying you need to dunk every possession - but when you're getting into the lane you need to be able to finish. Parker doesn't do it, but he's so quick and with his length & reach he can just lay it up everytime.
Not hating - both are great options for us. It's just that I feel more comfortable with Bledsoe breaking down the defense and finishing strong at the rim.
Realistically, Smart is out of our range.

The difference between you and most people that happen to understand basketball is that a PG's first job is to get his teammates going. If you can breakdown the D, you'll get an open man. The job from there is to hit the open man, not posterize/get stuffed at the rim.
Lets not go overboard. He isn't the starting point guard for the Clippers because Chris Paul is. And on Kentucky he had Wall in front of him. Bledsoe is a starting point guard in this league. I'd take him over a lot of pg's. And he is just coming into his own. Who he was doesn't define who he is.

I made that exact point before him and you said nothing.
