He won't get an offer... unless its a sign and trade until July 7th or 8th... maybe the 9th... don't want the Magic to have a whole week to figure out if they want to match.
Fair point

After reading this thread: The Miller's are damn good sales people. Y'all pretty much worship the organization and believe every word of hype they put forth.
Thread cliff notes:
They finished 19-10, when everyone else had either given up, was resting for playoffs, or was tanking. This team is clearly a 54 win team at minimum. add internal improvement and All Star Burks (who apparently is better than the starting small forward on the number two team in the east) and the Jazz probably break the Bulls season win total record.
It has nothing to do with money. The Jazz are trying to win and this team will improve enough to win a championship. They are not building a team that will, at best, exit the second round every year. Because Gobert.
False. Playoff seeding was decided on the final game of the season. Houston went into the last game against Utah fighting for a win. Same with the other playoff teams.
As for this forum buying in. the last two days have seen a lengthy debate about if the Jazz should sign a big name FA or stand pat as per the Jazz PR push.
But that's not what any of this is about now is it. The sensationalism was a nice touch.
Options are only drying up if you really thought the Jazz had any interest in those players at this time. I don't think they seriously considered any of the guys that have already signed. I honestly don't think they seriously considered going after any free agent that had a shot of going in the first few days.make two lists:
the first list contains all the free agents that were available on June 30th
the second list contains all the free agents that are currently available
Free agency isn't over, you're right. But the options are drying up, son.

Chicken little (franklin) disagrees. We will do something with our space.
I think we are trying to get something done, but the role we can offer isn't ideal to top tier guys and we likely aren't first on player's lists. This thing ain't over by any means... seeing some of the crappy deals that are being handed out to mid tier guys makes me happy we haven't become impatient yet.
I don't think the playoffs are anywhere on Utah's list of goals. Playoffs are irrelevant right now. Their goals should be:
Get Favors to All Star level. 23 and 10.
Get Exum involved on offense 10 and 6.
Get Gobert on All NBA defensive list.
Find out if Hood/Burks can fit with the starters or if they are both bench chuckers that need the ball to be effective.
That's it. If Exum doesn't an out, we can kiss title dreaming good bye. Exum, Favors and Gobert are the future.
If we make the playoffs, great. If Exum explodes and we miss the playoffs? Even better.
