I am a little more excited about Diaw after watching the videos. I just hope he is at least in average shape because the altitude might kick his butt.

I don't care how old he is. . . get him into P3 with the others. He can hang out with Rudy and wax philosophically about French literature over a nice wine as long as he gets his *** into shape for the season. Even though he's technically under contract for next year, this is very much a contract year for him.

Also, if I remember correctly, in Bell's case we bought him out at the end of his contract (for almost 100% of what was left). We asked him to go home, root on his sofa and collect the checks.

If memory serves, he was not bought out, but the rest is correct.

Acording to basketballreference.com, he spent very little time at the 5 with them - around 3% of it overall. More than 90% of his playing time was at the 4.

True, but the Jazz now have 2 2nd round picks in 2021 and 2022. By itself it's not much. But in accumulation...

Not to mention a 2nd round pick just got us Diaw, cash and another 2nd rounder.

I'm glad we got the second rounder. I was hoping we would. It's pretty much a standard practice in a salary dump trade like this.
