BREAKING NEWS: Ukranian Savage Beast Passes on HOU Offer, Will be in Camp Tomorrow

Can you imagine the tandam of Fesenko, Jefferson, AK, Miles, and Williams starting.

Then off the bench Okur, Millsap, Bell, Hayward, Evans, and Watson. With Elson filling a few minutes!

Sounds like one extremely DEEP team to me.

Jefferson and Millsap will be starting. And I would bet 100 bucks that Bell will start at SG. SF is another story.

If Fes has actually decided to grow up from his 12 year old mentality than I will be a little excited for his return. He definitely has the tools, but seems far too goofy to really put them to good use. It's as if he's Ostertag's retarded half-brother or something.

He passed a multi year, multi million dollar offer to sign 1 mil deal? The guy is even dumber than he looks, and he does not look very bright to say the least.

Seems funny that Fes would turn down an offer since he was looking for playing time and more $$$ than the Jazz offered. Perhaps Utah will offered him something that isn't public yet or Fes and his agent are dumber than it seems. Having Fes certainly helps the depth but the kid needs to step up and earn some playing time. He will have to do it convincingly because when Okur comes back the minutes will be tough to get.

Did someone just say Fes and DEEP in the same line?

Sounds like a seven man team to me. Okur and AK are injury prone, Miles is sub-par, Hayward is unproven, who the hell is Evans?, and we're still drooling over Fes' "upside potential". Deep! Very, very, very deep.

Millsap and maybe Watson are the only depth Utah has at this point. Take out AK and Okur's injuriy prowess and it's a different story. They didn't just grow a year younger, each.

Millsap and Bell are likely starters, and Miles is far from sub-par... and if the trade goes through, Miles will likely start as well.

It appears to me that a bench of Watson, Hayward, Ross, Diaw, Elson, Okur, and Fesenko is actually pretty deep. All of these guys would not be in the regular rotation, but all would contribute at times, and all have the potential to be effective in some situations.

Update: Kyrylo Fesenko has officially re-signed with the #UtahJazz.

Figures he signs a few minutes after my previous post. With Okur's injury and Elson's not so goodness, definitely need Fes to step it up this year. Problem is if he does he could easily be worth 4-5 million when he hits the market next year. Great to hear that we will not miss out on his quotes this year.

The only people that should be celebrating about this signing are people that want Fesenko gone. Everyone knew Fesenko would be back this year, it was just a matter of under what context. Signing the QO because he's frustrated he's not getting paid enough - or his agency being frustrated enough - means he's gone after next year. The fact that his agency is run by Dan Fegan all but assures that.

Fes and his agent aren't stupid, Houston's offer probably wasn't that great. If they offered 2 years, $3M ($1.5M each), Fes would feel like he could take the $1.1M QO this year, then make up the loss with at least a $1.9M contract next year when he's unrestricted. If the offer was 2 years, $4M ($2M each), then the decision gets tougher. Can he make up $2.9M in 2011-2012? Time will tell, but as an unrestricted FA, he won't be tied down by a QO and he will have a better chance.

Exactly. We know that 7footers who play decently even in limited minutes get overpaid. See Jerome James, Gortat, Haywood (obviously more playing time for him though). Perhaps we are counting on a hard cap for 11-12 to decrease his offers? Clearly him and his agent believe they will more than make up for the lost money from Houston. With Ming and Miller how much was he going to play? Of course both have injury issues so who knows.

Fes and Go4Jazz.

True story: I had a dream last night where I ordered a Big Fes jersey and got a #15 Harpring jersey in the mail instead.

It was easily the lowest stakes nightmare I have ever had.

i for one, am looking forward to more meetings between the big funnyman and our resident "only owner of a fes jersey". those stories were gold.

Outside of an injury, Fes has very little risk in just accepting the QO. With Okur out, he's going to get some playing time. All he needs to do is grab a few rebounds and get a few dunks. Do that for 80 games and he'll probably get at least $3M next season. There aren't a lot of 7'0" / 285lb'ers out there. As Numberica said, he's a Fegan client so don't expect him back next year.
