Can the C.J. Miles experiment please end?

Favors was alright. Burks I think just plays too much out of control. He shows flashes but he needs to get more consistent. Favors sometimes just looks like a lost puppy out there. Still waiting for him to really come on strong and take over the center spot by force.

I agree. He's good for 1 out of 5 games. Tonight was it. Next CJ sighting will be in 2 weeks.

Yep, the Clown was back in bad form tonight as expected. I find myself hoping he will stay out of the game to give the team a chance to win. Anyone but Miles. The Jazz are getting better. I like Burks.

I missed the game -- what happened? I saw Dimples and Mop interviewing Burks after the game, so that's got to be a good sign.

If CJ can increase ratio of good games to bad games from 1:5 to 1:3, that would be great. He does have ability in transition, and when he gets to the rim he can make stuff happen.

He just needs to drive to the basket more often, and get his game going that way. I like CJ. I am pulling for him. I know he hasnt been consistent but he does have some skills. The coaches just need to talk him into driving more and creating more like he did tonight.

I would like to see him continue at this rate, but its gotta cover more than a game against a team that gave up in the third quarter. We already know he can excel when the competition is weak or the game is decided or doesn't matter.

When CJ goes after the glass and makes defensive plays he's 10 times the player he is when that doesn't happen. Seeing Corbin's handling of those minutes, it looks like Good CJ should be showing up a lot more often.

When he came in during the 1st half the game was still relatively close (fluctuating 10 point-ish game). He got to the rim 3 or 4 times in a row, scoring all but once, which was cleaned up on a Kanter put-back.

CJ had 10 pts in the first half. But he was dynamite in the passing game, and his defense was fantastic, all before the 1st half ended. The question isn't whether CJ played well. He did. It's whether he can build on it.

There was a time when Utah really needed CJ to develop into a shooter, in order for the team to take the next step. I understand why they were patient with his chucking, in hopes he would find some consistency, but we're way beyond that now. CJ is never going to be the shooter he dreams of being, and he's obviously never going to realize that. His chucking is on the coach at this point, and I've been saying this for two years now.

When Corbin was hired, I said one of his biggest tests was going to be how he handled CJ. For the most part, I've been happy with what Ty's done. CJ really hurts the team when he is allowed to chuck, but I still like the rest of his game when Corbin keeps him on a short leash. I can live with the stupid fouls, as long as the chucking is kept under control.

Obviously, the majority of this board has their mind made up on CJ, and I think it's understandable. Just the same, I'll continue to call it like I see it. Bench him to get the chucking under control, and CJ can still be a contributer. At least until we can find a more consistent alternative.

The Jazz need wing production. I don't care who it is from. Burks, Raja, Harris, Hayward, Howard, or CJ. I don't even care if it's the same guy every night. But tonight against the Clippers CJ was good.

I agree with Freak. If CJ is kept under control and is sat if he starts throwing up stupid shots, he can be a contributor to this team.

He does ok against bad teams and when there is no pressure. I feel bad for criticizing him because it's obvious that he is just kind of stupid so what can he do. But regardless, he can hurt a team at critical times and he's not fun to watch. Good players are smart. CJ's biggest weakness above the shoulders and that will never change.

If CJ's going to change my mind about him, he has 6 seasons of this on/off crap that he has to make up for. I don't know how many consecutive games of consistency it would take, but it will take more than two or three. And certainly more than one.

I've noticed over the past few games CJ has really put an emphasis on splitting the trap off the pick n roll instead of going around the help man. He has been doing a great job of it too.

Good game by Chucker. I believe that is TWO in a row, by all the Gods. I really want to point out how F'ing stupid that goal tend was, but he did enough to warrant a +13 from me.

Miles was terrific last night. Best player on the Jazz, really. But my position hasn't changed.
