Conspiracy Theory Corner

I definitely don't want to pay a 1 time fringe all star 50 million. Especially if we doing that with Lauri as well.

Having 2 dudes like that making that kind of money doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Now I'm a homer and think that Lauri played like an all star last year and will continue to do so and am ok giving him the bag.

I believe less in Ingram being a yearly all star going forward than Lauri though.

Trey Murphy would be the one I would go after on the Pels.

I would go after Ingram but trade Collins, Walker. Pump up Ingram's value. Then at the trade deadline or next summer if it doesn't workout, do a sign and trade to a team over the cap for a couple (or more) of quality picks. Essentially you turn Collins, Walker into two quality picks (GSW for instance may get desperate).

He's the kind of player that you could get a couple of good picks for later on. Walker or Collins not so much, maybe 1.5 good picks.

Then let’s make it so Eubanks or Flip is our starting center.
The easiest tank trade out there is Walker for draft assets. He fits with any cap situation. There are teams that are capped out that need center help. It creates a massive hole on the roster that is filled with John Collins, Eubanks and a rookie.

If the Jazz are actually all in on starting and playing Kessler minutes, there’s a good chance he produces more wins over 82 than Ingram.

Locked on Pelicans put a podcast out today where he says Trey Jeminson has a chance to be Day 1 starter.

They are down bad.

The Jazz haven't signed Flip or formalized the Eubanks or Juzang signings. They have 35 million of cap space on the books now. There could be a lot of wheeling and dealing going on in the next couple of months.

Ignoring the Ingram part of it, the Pelicans still need a damn center. Their 25 pick + the more favorable of Bucks/Pelicans 27 for Kessler would get it done for me.

Kessler might be the only guy that's tradeable. It sounds like the only teams that want the two JCs are in China or the GLeague.

Another thing to look out for is that while the Pelicans are under the first apron, they are just above the tax line if you include Matt Ryan. They miss out on $30M+ if they don't cut a couple million off the books. The Pelicans have never been a tax team in their history. They will duck the tax again somehow.

Locke went though some of the teams that need to cut a couple million to get under the tax. With only us and Detroit with space I'm guessing we get some very high offers for our cap space.

BTW, I listened to that "report" that's the Jazz may have interest in Ingram which is being aggregated. It's incredible what can be aggregated as news these days lol. That is not "news".

Hoops rumors is reporting right now the Jazz have only ten players under contract. Flip hasn't signed a deal, the Juzang and the Suns center paperwork hasn't been submitted and no paperwork has been submitted for the three two ways or the Exhibit 10 deals. Is big game hunting in the future?

Guess away. Something for sure is being schemed.
