What's new

Corbin just owned Poppovich

Tonight was a great game and i do think that corbin deserves some of the credit for that..... he did some good things tonight and even put favors in for defense at the end of regulation out of a time out.
I just wish he would have a little more trust in the young guys and a little less trust in the vets. I also wish he would learn from all the previous OT losses (like the 4 OT loss against atlanta) and figure out that if you play the same old dudes from the middle of the 4th all the way until the end of OT (or the end of the 4th OT) then they might get tired and miss some free throws or something.

a lot of other teams like the Kings ... Wizzards ... Cavs all have close games and they usually end up with a Loss .. sure its positive they didn't get blown out .. but in the end its just... yet again another L

Look at the evidence, it can't be denied.

17 seconds left and Corbin works magic.
Gregg expects a foul & Corbin outthinks him going for the turnover. Almost gets it.
Spurs up by three.
Corbin knows they will foul so he calls a fake play. Foul.
Another play has already been called.
Marvin Sploosh!

Poppovich is pissed. Corbin just ate him up on Popps own floor, with superior players.

Typical response from posters who can't share in any Jazz success no matter what. I'm happy for Ty tonight. He took a nice leap in late game play calling.

Go Jazz!

Quit trying to be positive you freak! Not in this market!

I'll give you credit for trying but...
Hard to own someone when you lose to them.

Safe to say pop ended up with the win for a reason.

Pop has a most outstanding resume

Pop has coached his team to a .700+ record 10 times!
The last time his team was below a .600 record was 1997!

The only time in his career that his team has been below .600 was when he fired his head coach midseason and replaced him, only to have robinson break his foot and doom the season.

he has a career win% of .684, and a career playoff win% of .605

Basically, it is very rare that pop get's 'owned'

Rofl wtf Benedictus De Spinoza is now a forum member? I don't know if I can deal with substance monism and the Jazz at the same time

Yup. When Sparta lost to the Persians it was because they were out coached. The final score is all that matters.

How do you explain away the final 17 second masterpiece then? Not like that's supposed to come out every game when you don't have players that can keep all of them close.

Easy answer: Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Some people aren't big on details. I get that.

Who won the game, Pops or Ty? That is the only detail that matters.

Good gravy, one play works for who knows what reason, and you think Ty Corbin is Master of the Universe. If he is so great, why are the Jazz backing out of the playoffs? Why do they have the worst starting unit in the league?

Corbin really showed pop! See there might have been a few seconds after those dunks by favors and burks that pop may have feared the Jazz's youth. He may have even feared losing this game. But Corbin showed him! He brought back the ol trusty vets who quickly threw the game away

Millsap and Al were very mediocre. The ONLY reason utah was is it was Favors defense. He was benched the Jazz lost

exactly, we were up because of favors defense, once they got to OT, where was favors? that decision may have cost us last nights game...
