Cousins demands a trade!

Hmmmm; risky, but KoC would undoubtedly check the guy*out before pulling the trigger on any trade for him. Interesting; I see Cousins isnt' shooting the ball all that well so far; maybe Westphal told him to pass the ball more and shoot less...

It is a huge risk if Cousins is not happy here. Cousins has a lot of talent. I must ask though, can we deal with his immaturity? What's to say he won't get here and ask for another trade? Who would be able to mentor this kid? Our only chance would be if Paul or Devin stepped up. There are still no guarantees even then. Wouldn't you want Paul over Jefferson if you are the Kings?

Hate to say this but any trade for Cousins would probably have to include Favors. If I were the kings that's who I'd want in return.

False. The Kings are in a position of weakness. A 20-10 guy (Jefferson) might very well be the best offer they get.

Cousins is a highly talented 21 year old with a ton of potential. He has issues, but none of them are legal issues. Someone will take a chance on him and offer more for him than Jefferson.

If I was Cousins I would demand a trade as well. Since League Pass is free right now I have watched almost all of their games and I have to say, they are terrible. The Jazz look about 10X better than the Kings. Their ball movement sucks and the guard play dominates everything that they do except for defending. Cousins would be a huge player for any other team outside of Sacramento.

Reports from Cousins say he never asked for a trade and it was the Kings organization. As I think Kanter as all the potential in the world, I wouldn't mind trading Kanter and Jefferson for Cousins and an unprotected pick.

We could draft Gilchrist, Wroten and Drummond depending on how well the Kings do post trade because Im pretty sure the Jazz are going to get a top 5 pick.

If Jefferson for Cousins is on the table (which I don't see why it ever would be) then you take it. It 1. gets rid of a big contract not useful for a rebuilding team and 2. gets a tradable asset. I wouldn't keep Cousins, but the trade is worth it for #1 alone. I'd send them Harris too and try to take back Jimmer and filler. Maybe they could try to build around Jefferson, Harris and Evans. However, every other team has an equivalent message board where they're offering up their garbage for Cousins.

Not that I think Kanter is better than Cousins... I don't. I just like the fact that he is a little bit more mature. Not sure we have anyone of this team who could be a big brother or father like figure to Cousins like PKM said Coach Cal was.

I don't know how, but I got this feeling that somehow he ends up a Laker and an All-Star.

When Cousins was drafted, he was drafted at 5 because of the chance he would cause problems on the team. He has been on the team for one year, and there are problems big enough to get rid of him. That right there is the reason you don't even look at him. He has good skills and some large flaws to his game, but should come nowhere near this team. One year in the NBA; one year!

I am afraid you could be right. Pau Gasol trade part 2. You know one thing, if he were to land on the Lakers then he would have that big brother/ even somewhat father figure or mentor in Kobe. Hate to say it, but Kobe is that kind of player and leader.

If I were KOC. I would make a move to get Cousins. As some said there is a risk. But if you can build a trade around Al and any of Harris, CJ, Bell, or Watson. Then do it. This team is not winning anyway. What harm could it do. Save tons of money and get a potentially great player.

I would not trade any of our younger players except maybe Evans. He is even less likely to ever play if we get Cousins anyway.

I would also consider a trade involving Millsap. But would rather it center around Jefferson.

At the risk of being called a homer even more .. Cousins and Kanter were the two most dominant rebounders I have seen, on the college level for a very long time. #1 and #1a.

Do you think anyone on this team currently could play that big brother role for Cousins?

In loud exchange with Paul Westphal on Saturday after NY loss, some Kings heard DeMarcus Cousins yelling, "Trade me now," sources tell Y!

Imagine him yelling that every time we lose this season. Can the Jazz org. stand that? Can we Jazz fan stand that?

No & No.

1. Trade for him to simply dump salary.
2. Obtain him to flip him.
