I'm still in the draft Marshall crowd if The jazz go pg.
Just a couple things I saw from the game
1. I love his pick and roll offense a lot of pg's can be a little lazy causing the defense to keep him on the perimeter, which limits a pg's options. If the pg doesn't run a crisp route, the defensive big is able to run him off the the play. Lillard several times split the defense getting into the lane, and set up a teammate or get all the way to the basket.
2. Last night was the first time I've ever seen him play, so tell me if I'm wrong, but to me he isn't a great passer, willing yes, but he misfired on some really easy passes. Lillard may have had an off night in that aspect, so anyone who watches all his games set me straight if I'm off base on this.
3. Again I've only seen him play once, but with the game on the line, Lillard seemed to defer to inferior players. With the game close he just seemed to relax. If I recall through the first 10 to 12 minutes he had only taken two shots. That made me question if he has the killer instinct to finish games like a D-Will or CP3 The light didn't seem to click on for him till it was almost too late and Montana had built a big lead.
4. He is an actual pg, with a pg mentality I was afraid he would be the second coming of Westbrook. Always looking for his shot. The only question is, when the team needs him to score does he have that cold blooded instinct of a Deron or CP3, or a Stockton.
