Dante Exum everybody!

He outplayed Burke in that game. Made better plays for his teammates with decent defense and not too out of control. Has a lot of room to grow but overall I was impressed.

I think Exum should come off the bench till the trade deadline. I would like to see him get plenty of minutes though behind Burke and Burks. Hopefully Trey can play decent till the trade deadline and then trade him because Dante should really be playing the Pg position.

Just came from surfing the Lakers forum and they are already talking about going after Exum when he becomes a free agent...lol

I was a pretty big Aaron Gordon homer. I'm convinced that he's going to improve his shot to the point that he'll be dangerous at both ends.

At the same time, I was very wary of Dante Exum. There just wasn't enough tape of him in competitive situations to make me comfortable that he'd make the transition from Australian HS players to the NBA.

With that said, I'm fully convinced that he's one if the top 3 players in this draft and he should have been picked there. The fact that he slipped to #5 is amazing. He has #1 overall abilities and potential. I love the Penny Hardaway comparisons. I think that they're spot on. He has that IT factor that the Jazz have needed since Stickton and Malone.

I'm fully on board, and I think that he's going to be a perennial All-Star player, and possibly a guy who will earn a 5/30 contract after his rookie season. His potential ceiling is sky high. This is the reason the Jazz tanked, and they need to be fully invested in building around him. Dante Exum is going to be the keystone to building a contending team. Clearly the front office believes in both Favors and Hayward as being pieces that help the team win long-term also. We'll have to see how they feel about Butks and Kanter. . . but I think they both have a big season now that they're out of Corbin's shadow and playing for a coaching staff that values player development.

Exum
Hayward
Hood
Favors and
Rudy

Sounds like a winner to me in two years.

Burke had a -13 plus minus and Exum had a +9 plus minus.

That was the low and the high for the team respectively.

I saw a lot of passes Exum had that turned into an assist after another pass too. Aren't they called a Hockey pass or something?

I don't know about Hood, but it seems like Dante and Rudy have hit it off great. I'd love to see this team develop a really special chemistry. It's one of the things that makes the Spurs special.

Dante Exum, Utah Jazz | Grade: A-
Hype machine, activate! Comparisons to a young Kobe Bryant, Penny Hardaway and Brandon Roy were flying around after Exum’s first game, and his displays of smooth athleticism and skill were often breathtaking. Although there were better overall performances elsewhere, no one flashed more star potential than Exum did. With his vision and first step, he has lead guard written all over him.

Is this a quote or did you write this? Please advise.

They did play at Nike Hoops Summit together, right?

I think Hood will be just fine. He was cold, but has a great stroke from what I saw. Likely nerves and fatigue. At worst, a good shooter off the bench who will spread the floor.

Hey Nickk. Actually on espn day 2 nba summer league grades. Google it.

So Im not the only one who saw flashes of Kobe when watching Exum?

Also, in respect to you thinking that my account or the hotnick account are alts, well, that's laughable.
