What's new

Dennis Lindsey: We will be VERY active in free agency

I'm probably being too optimistic here, but it seem to me the Clippers have a very thin bench. They're likely to lose Jamal Crawford, and I don't think Pierce can play big minutes anymore. It's not a huge leap for the Jazz, if things go well, to compete for home-court in the first round of the POs. The competition ought really to be Houston and the Clips.

He's not the featured go to guy. Lol

Lol yourself dick... He said the allowed him to be a top option with Kemba Walker and allowed him the freedom to play his way. Big part of the reason he likely doesn't even look at other places.

Great. We all like Ingles. He's a cool guy. But the Jazz have a chance to upgrade. They should.

Push. Now.

Good luck finding a 4th wing as skilled as Ingles, as good a passer, shooter, defender, and a guy as high a bball IQ, who also will have as team friendly a contract. Good luck with that.

Would also point out he at times was a microwave when it came to scoring points. He shot us back into more then a couple games.

I agree. If Conley re-signs in Memphis and Gasol is healthy and they add a FA or two, then they too are in the discussion. So is Portland. We can't deny that any longer. Stotts is a stud.

In B 4 thee calls you an idiot

I like Muscala, but can he share the floor with Lyles? What would it cost to pry him away?

I'm definitely not against bringing back Booker. He may take a 1-year deal in order to prove that his drop off last year was a fluke (and then cash in next offseason).

Just tossing this out there, but what about James McAdoo? I know very little about him, but I like his physical profile as a deep bench guy on our team.

Booker ended having a decent year it was a timing issue with him... he was playing like **** when we needed him most with Lyles not ready and everyone hurt.

I doubt Atlanta sends out Muscala with all the variable stuff they have going on in FA. May do it if we took on Splitter-DNP (I believe that is his name.)

The more I think about it... we just need to convince Phoenix to send us Tucker. Can be the ******* wing defender we need, play the 3 and 4, and is on a decent one year deal.

2 second round picks? Burke? Come on Phoenix help us out here.

Pg
Exum, Mack, Hill, Neto

Wings
Burks, hill, Hood, Hayward, Ingles

Pf

Favors, Lyles

Center

Favors, Gobert. (One of favors or Gobert is in the game at all times.)

A.) I don't see what the facination is about having Hill and Exum play together. Maybe some, but I wouldn't want to count on it.

B.) Love Burks and Hood both, but feel like you can possibly upgrade there. If you can get better from the top down, that's a good place to do it.

C.) There's room for another wing behind Hayward. Jingles is a great bench and glue guy, but he's gotten way too many minutes the past two seasons because of a weak bench, an abundance of youth and injuries.

D.) Favors should not play center until it gets to the playoffs and teams start getting smaller. He's average at C, and above average at PF. Plus, counting on him banging against the top, most physical centers in the league seems to lead to lingering injury issues for him.

All this talk of Dudley is ***********. Jazz fans are more afraid of striking out, than they are of even trying. Reggie White chose Green Bay because of money, Brett Favre and Mike Holmgren. Payton Manning chose Denver because of their defense and John Elway. I don't care how small our market is. . . winning changes EVERTYHING. Golden State would still be a middling playoff team with great shooters if not for Steve Kerr's death lineup and Draymond Green's emergence. Now everyone and their mom is trying to imitate them. The Jazz should sell themselves on their defense, depth and Quin Snyder. They screwed up by not doing this last year and adding cheap free agents like Lin, Casspi and Biyambo.

If we want the opposite of Gobert as a backup center Ioannis Bourousis says he wants to play in the NBA. He is kind of like A Sabonis was when he came to the NBA. Can shoot it very well plus score inside. However, defensively he is not what you would call a mobile indvidual. Spurs actually tried to get him to come over a few years ago but turned that down which he says he really regrets.

Andrew Nicholson is kind of intriguing... can play both big positions. Can shoot... never had a good coach. He is also now unrestricted because Orlando did not make his QO.

Pretty sure McAdoo couldn't shoot to save his life if memory serves.

Great. Don't tell me. Tell the player that won't sign because of depth and talent on the team.
