The league has definitely moved that way since always.
Yah, I was one of the people that got tricked into thinking that you can do it with a team of solid(not upper level talent) that is coached well and executes a system perfectly after the Spurs 2014 title and the Atlanta regular season last year, but I admit I was wrong. That Spurs team still had 2-3 future hall-of-famers and Kawhi who at the time I didn't believe will be top tier level player in the league, but he's turned into one, and Atlanta completely collapsed in the playoffs when teams had the time to prepare and started taking away their weapons and started scheming specifically against their system. At the end of the day talent wins vs schemes and talent + schemes wins vs only talent(simplistically put, but you get what I mean).
