So wait, our starting 1-3 lost the game, and yet we're supposed to believe that Favors had a hand in how bad the unit played? Are you ****ing high?
Nope. Favors had a stellar game. I'm saying to the posters that said 'Favors would have stopped their dribble penetration' that it simply wasn't the case in the 3rd.
Regardless. Favors had an amazing game. I was particularly happy that this happened after the Kanter game last night. These kids are growing up so fast, and it is painfully evident how much more grown and composed they are since the beginning of this season. Favors was making moves on the offensive end consistently, and avoiding foul trouble. Kanter was playing BONKERS in the 4th. Millsap was bailing out our team by going to the free throw line consistently. Both essentially went on a net 13-0 run to close the game out, until Jennings hit the three to send it to OT. It was a great coaching move by T, and unfortunate that it came at the expense of Favors's great night.
I understand the "Ty is a hypocrite and would have subbed in Jefferson no matter what" posts, and agree with them. In those games, if Kanter or Favors are playing at this level, and Al subs in, I will be furious. But for now, sticking with the hot hand worked, and help us go to OT against a fairly hot team in their home court, where they hit several contested outside shots to pull a victory. I will accept this loss, as I imagine the Jazz will as well.
