i dont know the details about not working against anyone, whats it all about? can someone explain

Calipari often tells his guys NOT to work out if they're looking at the lottery. Just one of those things that you could have a bad work out or a good one .. shouldn't let one work out determine your selection. He advised Patterson, Wall, and Cousins NOT to work out last year ... only Patterson did it anyway.

so kanter will not work out at all? its not good, but i think he already worked out with jazz long ago, i remember something like that 1-2 months ago anyway lets hope the best for jazz, i like enes and i see him really complementing favors, so if we are rebuilding he would be a big asset. but if we r only retooling, then i dont know. i really would like to know whats passing through koc's mind right now.

Dwill

If he's not available, then Kanter.

Maybe take Knight at #12. But I don't see him being a "Jazz" type of guard. He struggles to get others involved, is a turnover machine, and doesn't have the speed that Wall or Rose have.

So go big, evaluate seriously Biyombo and Kanter.

Take Singleton at #12 to solidify our 3 position. Ride Harris and Earl for one more year. During the year make a trade for a PG or just draft one next year.

You can find good point guards in every draft. Just look at the history over the past few years. CP3, Deron, Westbrook, Rose, etc. You can find a few good ones in every single draft.

But good bigs or wings? Much harder to find.

So, everyone is talking like we don't have a center, and need one to compliment Favors. Did I miss something?...did Hell open up and swallow Jefferson?..

I think I like both of these guys. I haven't bee really confident that Dwill2 can play the 3 but he keeps claiming he's a 3 (or going to be in the NBA) and after reading a post on here or another thread by a guy who caught nearly all the Arizona games the past 2 years give a resounding endorsement on him I feel better about him.

I'm happy to just draft whichever one falls to the jazz at 3. Unless Bismack impresses and I want him instead.

And Kanter can carry an NBA team? I've argued enough that I don't believe Kanter is as special as Chad Ford is saying he is - but we already know Williams has a good inside-outside game and can rebound. I'm not sure he'll be able to guard most SF's, - but I'm also not sure there are alot of SF's who can guard him. I've heard the David West comparisons and I think DWill has more range and is more explosive, but if worst-case he ends up similar to West that's still a pretty good player.

Williams is going to have a bigger impact than David West. David West is below Williams' floor.

If you watch the interview, he is very cocky. In most cases I don't like that, but with a player like Dwill I love it.

If Williams can play the 3 with some skill this isn't even a question. You take Williams.

i think thats the problem, he doesnt seem to have the skill to play 3. some people say he is similar to paul pierce but pierce is much more agile and skilled. I think he is more close to being al horford than pierce which i would certainly pick kanter for playing PF

Closer to Al Horford? Have you watched Derrick Williams play? You sir are an idiot.

Do you know that? And if so how? Pierce played mostly at the 4 in college and made the transition very well to the 3. Williams is a very gifted athlete and shows with his Shooting ability and work ethic he very well could do the same. Right now I haven't seen any of the experts say that he can't play the 3. (Of course none of them have said he can ether, so well have to see)

there is a saying in Turkey,
with just words, even the cheese ship doesnt move on
i hope derrick is as good as he thinks he is. which is good at some point, star players has the confidence. But we will see if he can take the critics after he screw up in a few consequtive games.
actually till now i thought, irving will go no 1, but i wont be surprised if this guy goes no 1. I wonder who would minnesota pick if derrick goes no 1.
