I think the problem that you have here is that you are overrating the Bridges haul. First round picks from the 2nd best team in the East are not the end-all be-all. The Knicks are going to win a lot of games in the East, and they are now deep enough to avoid sucking because one guy goes down.

The Jazz do not need to trade Lauri today, he is not forcing his way to the Warriors. He only gets more value if we sign him. Yes, it will not be a "slightly disappointing" haul.

If I’m overrating the Bridges package, then it only makes the point stronger. Warriors can (for the most part) match the same picks and potentially more. The difference is that the quality of picks is higher from the Warriors (if you think NYK will be good) and the quality of the outgoing players is significantly better.

So the more you say the Knicks picks will be bad the more outsized you are making the “debatable” package of Kuminga+Moody+Every pick.

Another way to put this is if Bridges package isn’t as good as people make it out to me, so will Lauri’s.

The Warriors do own their '25, '27, '29' and '31 FRPs but they oddly owe a top 20 protected pick to Washington in '30 that is extinguished to a 2nd if it falls outside the protected area. I would think the Warriors would have to send something to Washington to get that pick back in order to send 4 FRP's for Lauri?

If you get Kuminga... do you offer him contract extension now? How much would you give him?

that's not what the report says. But maybe teh reporter is a snowfakke/?
not sure if the reporter blocks people for fact checking them or disagreeing with them, but the report says gsw is resistant to include kuminga. it doesn't address a scenario where kuminga is included.

Look... Steph is 36 and has had years where he goes down and some where he misses 20 games... look at their roster. Lauri has missed games as well (part of that is inflated with the tank)... but if you swipe Podz and Moody they are relying on Melton, Wiggins, Green quite a bit. They would NEED JK to take a step or two. Any injuries and they are paper thin. 45 wins might land you in the play in.

Kuminga will be the McDaniels of the deal. Its a jedi mind trick though cuz Podz is the better asset anyway.

Son, we ain't looking for "great." We looking for you so ashamed for doing business with DA that you can't look yourself in the mirror.
This is funny, until you realize that maybe what prevented the Celtics from getting over the top was Ainge, in large part because people didn’t want to work with him.
