Draft night 2017 might be the single biggest turning point in Utah Jazz history.

I'm trying to figure out why Boston would be a better destination for him? I get that playing in a bigger market with his college coach would be a plus.

But Boston isn't a better team. Nor do I see Thomas making Hayward a better player. Hayward needs the ball in his hands to be most effective as does Thomas. Boston would have another OKC situation, where two stars need/want the ball but there's only one ball to share.

there was one game then Quin was in his ear not yelling but explaining something.. and I could see a look on Hayward's face that gave me the notion for a second Hayward didn't like him... He didn't look him in the eyes, gave a vibe that he was putting up with him. Hopefully I'm wrong but you reminded of that. I personally like Quin and our front office. I never liked Corbin.

I watched the video where Hayward was entering the arena after the Zuppa Subotage, Lindsey was standing in the middle of the empty tunnel looking worried and anxious. lindsey looked eager to greet Hayward, who completely blew Lindsey off. It was cold.

This current Western Conference GM who went on record as saying the belief around the league is that he is gone, probably wants him gone to Boston or Miami so his team doesn't have to deal with him 4 times a year. You always have to consider the source. The Jazz made no preemptive moves at the trade deadline to set themselves up in case Hayward leaves. There were no rumblings that they were considering trading Hayward either. I think they are confident in him staying. And I still think he stays. I do agree that it's time to turn some of these assets into a big name player though.

Boston is closer to home and more prestigious for Hayward and the Wifey. Direct and shorter flights to and from Indiana for the family.

Advertisers would prefer to see Hayward in Boston. Boston fans and ESPN would make Hayward an All-Star and probably all-nba.

Boston has as good a chance as anyone in the east, and the Warriors are going no-where in the west.

I listened to the same interview and didn't take that comment as indicative of his job being in jeopardy. I think he actually has a lot of confidence in knowing he has a lot of stability (hence he hasn't been very short-term oriented with moves).

He'd be a more reliable three point shooter than Hood would be but he'd score about 10 ppg, maybe a little more here. He probably brings more defense to the table but I don't see him being a big piece.

The Locke stuff is troubling. His point is valid... he knows our warts... he doesn't know theirs.

Sometimes people want something new. I have less confidence with every day. I don't see Boston as a better opportunity for him to win. Their struggles are primarily defensively. He will help their offense, but there is only one ball and he will have less opportunity than he does here.

I know new stuff is alluring, but just go ahead and talk to D-Will about his experience outside of Utah. It ain't all dandelions and butterflies.

Maybe Utah's sales pitch to hayward is to show Headlines and clips of Jazz players before and after they left. A few scathing articles from Brooklyn about Deron. A couple of headlines of Boozer riding the bench with sprayed on hair in Chicago, Karl Malone writhing in pain on the floor for the lakers, Al Jefferson out of the starting line-up,

just don't bring up Paul Milsap.

You know in Hayward's mind getting to the championship the next few years is only doable from East. Can't blame the dude for wanting some excitement in life, but man would I rather live and have a family in the country than Boston ugh

No, it probably won't. But I am curious how the Jazz approach the draft. Do they use up their draft picks trying to free up salary (bye-bye Burks), or acquiring a single player? Or do they start the Rebuild III?

Danny Green spreads the floor, can play in an offense, and is an above average defender. He is an upgrade over Hood as a starter and/or allows us to give Hood the 6th man role. If Hayward were to leave, Hood starts at SF and Green at SG. I think Green is better than Ingles and brings us championship level experience. At $10 per year, he would be a fantastic addition.
