Enes Kanter on Jazz's Draft Board

Where do you guys think Enes Kanter should be on Jazz's Draft Board?

I had irving 1, williams 2, and kanter 3 on my jazz big board.

I think i had burks at #5 on my big board. (i really really wanted burks and couldn't believe he was available at 12.) I was worried that the jazz were gonna take chris singleton at 12, that would have sucked bad

I remember being at energy solutions for the darft and i had written on a piece of paper where i thought each player would get picked.... I had burks going #8 and as he kept falling, i kept getting more and more excited.....Then when jimmer was picked i was so happy and relieved that the jazz would not be able to get him (even though i love jimmer and am a byu fan).

When it got to our pick i thought the jazz would not take an arrogant young athletic 2 guard and instead they would pick an older safer "system" player.

When burks name was announced as our pick i was so happy and i started texting everyone i knew telling them how great burks was going to be.
It was like merry burksmas had come early!

Whoah... I don't remember starting this thread. Did I? Really?

In hindsight may be I should have gone Kanter at #2 with Kyrie as #1... but quality bigs are so hard to come by...

BTW isn't it fun when votes are public and we can laugh at ourselves in hindsight??!!??!!

Can you spell B-U-S-T?

I'd definitely draft Enes Kanter at 35, hype him as White Shaq, start him for fifteen games hoping it will light a fire under Fesenko, and then trade his *** for a real prospect. Fes > Kosta Kanter. He's a lottery gamble, not a lottery pick.

Enes was the largest guy on the floor at the NHS and got a lot of easy buckets from good setups. Nothing impressed me. He won't get any of that in the NBA and is way too slow to be a defensive threat.
Looks like franklin hit it out of the park with his projection.

I'll admit I wanted the Jazz to trade down and pick Knight. PG was - and still is - a big positon of need for Utah. I was very happy with the Burks pick. Perhaps KOC envisioned Burks as a combo guard and had already planned on going after Mo. After all, KOC did fool us with the Hayward selection, saying all along he envisioned the matchup problems Hayward could create (i.e. a big SG instead of the full-time SF we all assumed Gordon would become).

I was in SG on vacation during the draft. I stayed at the resort while the family went out and did what ever they did. I wanted Kanter with the third pick, also remember wanting either Klay or Burks in that order. Really wanted the better shooter, but was very happy the jazz got Burks. It's odd to me that I voted #3 because I remember telling friends I thought Kanter was the best player in the draft. I must have changed my mind sometime after this thread was started.

Uh uh. Sure.

Gee. I don't know what happened. Meant to pick number 1

I can't believe people are still voting on this (judging by the rapid increase in #2 votes)

In defense of common sense, this was early in the process and there was very little to go on, and what there was made him look super slow and unable to jump. I'm on record as supporting the organization's decision after his Jazz workout, and said Corbin would know who he was practicing against (yeah, Corbin actually got on the floor with him) so if they drafted him then he indeed had a ton of upside.

I also watched all the Euro games and commented a bunch about him and Asik. I'd love to dig those up and see what I though then.
