Brandon Knight supporters rejoice!!! It seems now our only competition if Walker (or Williams falling, but I would love Williams).
You're throwing out assist numbers without looking at assists per minute. Sure, Rondo had less but he had more per minute (I think--it's 6am and I don't feel like looking it up again) than Knight. Curry's not a true point. And Westbrook had Collison running the point as a frosh so he too played little to no point. That said, Westbrook's numbers do give me some hope but again, he is maybe the best athlete in the league, something Knight will never reach.
Now hearing Jazz will spend all day with Enes Kanter on June 2nd in Chicago. Will see him workout + interview. He's not dodging Jazz

Damn it.
Perhaps you've explained this before and I just missed it, but what don't you like about Kanter?
Do you think he's not a good player or do you just think that the Jazz don't have a place for him at the moment?
I don't think he fits the team well. His best case scenario is a better passing Al Jefferson. Best case. I'd rather this team go the defensive center route instead.
Still think you have to take Kanter over Knight.
His measurements and numbers are all better than expected.
He has the height and fitness to compete at center.
He has huge hands which does matter.
He can match up against just about any NBA center.
What more do you want? Jazz may not get another chance to get a guy like him.
Guys like him are only found in the top three picks of drafts.
Knight may be great, but you might still find a sleeper later in drafts.

And shoots a fundamental shot. And reacts to the defense on the fly/makes quick decisions instead of relying on plodding through and stopping a set. Give me an Al Jefferson that does all of those things and I'll eat a dog turd. I can project Kanter there. Who knows where he ends up, but it's not a stretch for me to imagine that.
FWIW same wingspan as Paul Millsap and same standing reach as Al Jefferson.Kanter has the same wingspan as Paul Millsap. How is that good?

Hey, was Reggie Jackson at the combine today? If you're drafting a PG based on potential I'd take him @ his projected 22 rather than Knight at 3.
I know the Jazz don't have a pick at 22 - I'm just saying when drafting a PG on idealized potential it doesn't have to cost a top 5 pick. Unless it's a SURE thing. Which Knight is not.
Jackson didn't attend the cosine. Rumor has it that someone has guaranteed him a pick in the draft.
