Phil Johnson was spot on. When asked what he thought about Kanter when Jazz took him with the third pick, he said he thought Kanter could be a good third big off the bench on a good team.

Sadly that seems to be his ceiling at the moment.

I'm trying not to give up hope but gobert and booker both look better than him. Still early, kanter may turn things around. Definitely looking dismal at this point

I wonder if the Lakers would trade Kanter for Randle. Lakers need a center.
Maybe if kanter had 4 years of a rookie salary left.

I'm a Kanter supporter because of the flashes we've seen and because he looks like a good, fun dude. I know it's probably irrational but oh well. I think we should remember he had a knee procedure over the summer and didn't get a full offseason, and his stretch-4 experiment has only been going on for a month or so. I wonder what the Jazz will be willing to pay to keep him. It would be dangerous letting him go since Booker might not re-sign when he becomes a free agent. Out of all of the "core" guys, his future is definitely the least certain.

His ceiling is uncertain until he can set his career in a more healthy road. He had another unhealthy offseason. So don't expect him to perform at his ceiling right now. I expect some decent level of rise in his contribution and basketball IQ as the season goes on. And I respect Snyder a lot for that. He is patient for him. He could just sit him to lower his value if he want to sign him. But he might also want to trade him.

It appears to me that Snyder will try to get the most profit out of Kanter when he is in Jazz uniform.

Right now he is not feeling his game. He should take less 3's. Work on'em more. And keep banging inside more. Keep working on midrange shootings. That was his better skillset than corner 3's. He will always have a chance to shoot 3's every now and then. It's not necessary to shoot 2 threes every game. None of the players' game tactics should be that predictable. That is what Snyder brings to the team. Unpredictable, unselfish team game, ball movement.

The Jazz will over-achieve this year.

why are 7 out of 10 threads on this site like stepping into a time machine of the past?? What would you have done in 2010?? Well I don't know what would you have done in 2006?? I get the same feeling about this year that I had in 2007...... Good Lord!!!! In 2004 the Jazz drafted Kirk Snyder and I took the biggest **** right after that horrible decision. I am about to take another giant **** just like I did back then, excuse me.

Davontae Booker looks better than everyone.

Oh, and I might have been a little too high on Knight in this draft. Maybe a little.
