ESPN West Predictions For 2013-2014

Jabari seems to be slipping big time on many draft boards...

Top 3 is Wiggins, Randle, Exum. Andrew Harrison & Aaron Gordon could also go before him.

Getting #6 pick and grabbing Jabari isn't unrealistic at all.

I wouldn't pay attention to Jabari dropping now. Wait until March. Half the lottery isn't going that far. If Jabari carries the Duke team to a championship he could touch Wiggins if his stock takes a major hit for some reason. GMs simply love clutch guys they can label champions.

For funsies.. I could see pick #8 being any of the following;

- Aaron Gordon
- Marcus Smart
- Andrew Harrison
- Mario Hezonja
- Joel Embiid
- WCS
- James Young
- Exum (he could be a bit over-hyped right now, I don't know)

(I don't see Glenn Robinson or Dario Saric being considered that high come draft time)

I agree. He only played 5 minutes with the Australian Men's National Team.

I have the Jazz at 25-30 wins. Burke is going to struggle. Favors will have games he gets into early foul trouble and the bench is going to have a hard time putting up points.

I think the Kings, Bucks and Bobcats all have a legitimate chance of finishing worse than the Jazz. Raptors might be too low as they were close to a .500 team the last two months of the season. NOLA will challenge Minnesota and Portland for the last playoff spot in the WC. Lakers may drop even further as could the Mavs.

I do not think the Lakers will be as bad as everyone thinks. They wont tear the league up but they will have a healthy Nash and with Howard gone Gasol will rise back up. Plus getting fed by Nash? Kobe will come back eventually and while older he is still Kobe. I say they finish with the 12th pick.

I actually think that Phx will be decent. I think that they will have to intentionally bench players/throw games in order to have worse than a 25 win season.

Think about it, Dragic isn't bad, Bleadsoe is supposed to be a beast, Gortat struggles but is not a bad starting big man not to mention that Butler is serviceable as well. If Len or Goodwin can have a a season that they are competing seriously for ROY then they will have a better record than what people think.

Also, Hornacek > Corbin

Yeah, but who knows if Len plays 10 games all year. Goodwin shot the ball worse than Burke in Summer League. PHX is a very similar team to us.

Jabari stays in school

32 seems a tad too high for the Jazz for the following reasons:

1. The west is stacked. Portland and a healthy Minnesota look like playoff teams to me. And if Kobe comes back early, they play at least .500 ball. Phoenix is the only truly terrible team.

2. The pg position is incredibly thin: A rookie pg backed up by a 3rd string pg.

3. We have a total of one above average bench player: Burks/Rush

4. Favors AND Kanter are coming off injuries. Gobert isn't NBA ready and Biedrins is Biedrins.

I'd expect 26-29 wins.

This makes me wonder of all the records, as predicted, are even possible.

Than your disagreement is worthless to us.
No it's not. It would be redundant for me to repeat what others have said. I didn't think it was necessary to quote. So I expressed my agreement with them in their disagreement with ESPN.
