Exotic Animal Trophy Hunting

That has to be qualified, of course. I'm sure you aren't against zoos that have attempted to save many species. Maybe I should put this in the peeve thread about the new anti-zoo lunies?

I think I agree with you but it's more of for 50-100 year term reasons.

Brian Massumi's What Animals Teach Us About Politics has an excellent critique/analysis of zoos in one of its essays.

Being univocally pro-zoo is for tards.

Also, I believe that fish can be raised in hatcheries so I think it's a little bit apples to oranges.

I also have no problem with people using feeder fish to feed turtles and other pets. Don't mind if people feed crickets to their lizards and frogs and whatnot either.

How about growing cows, pigs and chicken to feed to humans?

Nah, Catch and release only for me. Don't like the taste.

I gotcha.

I get it.

Myself personally, we get a lot of animals on our farm. You'd be amazed at the damage they can do. A herd of elk will ruin a field in hours. So yeah, I hunt to manage population. I also think if I'm gonna kill it, I need to eat it, so I use all the meat. Send it to a butcher, provides him with a job.

If nobody hunted in Montana, we would be overrun with animals. They'd be chock full of nasty diseases and die pretty awfully. I don't like that. Like it or not, we need hunters to manage population. Most hunters are pretty ethical. People acting like hunters get horny after killing something is a bit much, tbh.

And like cy said in the post I quoted.... It's not like I'm against hunting and protesting about it. I come from a family of hunters and still occasionally go hunting with my dad and brothers. I just bring my camera instead of a gun. (I love watching the dogs work)

I just have no desire to kill anything and think it's strange that there are many many people who love to kill stuff. I have killed a deer in the past. Just made me feel crappy about it. Didn't like it all.

Lol. If you're out there saying that hunting is senseless killing, then you're against hunting. The vast majority of the time, it's not senseless killing.
