Following potential 2013 draftees

I'm having a hard time believing Watford goes undrafted as the draft sites suggest. Measured about the same size as Derrick Williams and registered a 36" vertical as well. Shot 38%, 43%, and 48% on 3's his last three years, getting drastically better each year. On a more overall catch and shoot basis, Watford ranked 5th in the nation last year on PPP at 1.40. He is a flat out good jump shooter no matter where he is.

Stretch 4's like Ryan Anderson can do a lot of damage in today's NBA, heck look at what Miami is doing with Bosh nowadays, making him almost and exclusive stretch 4. Guys like Wolters and Jean Charles will probably be gone by 46, I think Watford should be considered.

Great post.

That would be why.

Scream with me "TWEENER"

Agreed. I've been pimping him a long time here. The only negative is I've talked with too many scouts that hear his hearts not in it.. he has to drag himself into the gym to put up shots.. no work ethic/motor...... those are MY words, not what they have said, specifically... but the impression I have gotten.

No worse than Marvin but much much cheaper.

i think those days are gone.

how he got rich

the new owner, vivek ranadivé is an indian businessman, engineer, author, speaker, and philanthropist. Ranadivé is the founder and ceo of tibco, a multi-billion dollar real-time computing company, and is credited with digitizing wall street in the 1980s with his first company, teknekron software systems.

As a child, one of ranadive's dreams was to attend the massachusetts institute of technology (mit), which he learned of through a documentary on the institution. Described as "a true visionary in a valley full of seers," by the august 10, 2004 issue of information age, he was inspired at the age of 17 to leave india to pursue an education in the united states of america. At 17, ranadivé was accepted to mit, but in the 70's the indian government did not release foreign currency for citizens to study abroad. ranadivé camped outside the office of the governor of the reserve bank of india until they gave him $50 – just enough to get him through one semester at mit.

after earning both a master's and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from mit in four years, he obtained an mba from harvard university in 1983 where he was a baker scholar. While still in college at mit, ranadivé started his first company, a unix consulting company. He also held management and engineering positions with ford motor company, m/a-com linkabit and fortune systems immediately after college.

basketball fan/experience

ranadivé is a longtime basketball fan, which started when he coached his daughter's middle-school basketball team. the team played in the national championship and ranadivé's coaching success was documented by malcolm gladwell in the new yorker. in 2010, ranadive became the co-owner and vice chairman of the golden state warriors, making him the first person of indian descent to own an nba franchise.

Ranadivé plans to transform the warriors using the same real-time technology that transformed the business world. He states that "i see basketball as being the 21st century sport and the warriors becoming the team of the 21st century." in 2011, ranadivé spearheaded bollywood night.

Interesting workout today with the Suns. Some interesting players there... I think there's a good chance we go with either Wolters or Green with our 2nd rounder. They are perfect fit for us if we want to go down the PnR heavy offense route.

#Suns workout group includes Va Tech G Erick Green, Kentucky G Archie Goodwin, Illinois St F Jackie Carmichael & S Dakota St G Nate Wolters.

Do you guys have any issues (or do you think teams will have any issue) with Schroeder retweeting this?

Is *****/****** not an offensive word in German?

no. same with ****. little kids use it.
I don't allow my kids, but I hear it a lot.

poop in german is a word even most americans know.

to answer your first question I think the jazz or any team that drafts him will
give him some training on twitter and how to handle himself.

Here's some stuff on Adetokunbo from @DraftExpress: I still like this guy at #24.
.
Taking a short trip to Jesolo with a hoard of NBA scouts (probably around 50), we were able to take in a U20 game between Croatia and Greece featuring highly touted Greek small forward Giannis Adetokunbo, playing in his first ever game outside of Greece after finally obtaining his passport (he in fact now has two after also receiving a Nigerian passport).
.
Starting at the power forward spot but regularly bringing the ball up the floor, he turned in a solid, albeit unspectacular performance, finishing with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists by our count while putting many of his strengths and weaknesses on display for those in attendance.
.
Acting as a facilitator for his team in the half court and making a number of impressive plays in the open floor, Adetokunbo didn't look out of place competing with players one year his senior in most cases, but his lack of experience was evident. He had a number of rebounds ripped away from him, didn't always finish strong around the basket, and left his feet unnecessarily on a few occasions. Directing his teammates as Greece ran its sets, Adetokunbo has a unique feel for the game considering his age and athleticism, and is undoubtedly a special talent, but is definitely still in the early stages of his development.
.
All in all Giannis probably didn't impact his draft stock significantly in either direction. People who liked him probably saw what they needed to see, while those that didn't surely weren't swayed by what he showed. A fairly substantial contingent of the 50 or so NBA scouts started to file out with 6-8 minutes left in the fourth quarter, which can't be considered a great sign. The stop and start nature of the game and overall poor officiating surely didn't help matters, but Adetokunbo will need to show more in the next two days if he wants to definitively boost his stock into the top-20.

Watching Schoeders Jazz video again made me smile. I think he's a good guy.
I love the part where he says most Americans can't pronounce his name.

The umlaut is so hard. You have to slur your mouth together to make that sound.
I still haven't perfected it at all. I can pronounce it better than most of you guys,
but still not many Jazzfanz could say it 100% correct.

It's more like Shhh -ewwww -dair

not sch-oder

This guy Kevin Pelton at ESPN sure doesn't seem too high on Shabazz. He seems to diss him a few times in his chat. He also doesn't seem to think that McCollum is a point guard.
