Following potential 2014 draftees

Wiggins had 19 points IN THE FIRST HALF.

I saw a couple of really nice 18 foot jumpshots off the dribble too.

If he makes that shot consistently then he becomes unguardable

Scary seeing embiid go down holding his knee

Embiid with one of the floppiest flops ever, but it drew the offensive foul lol

Watched Michigan take it to Michigan State last night (Go Blue!!). Great game and nice win streak in the BIG10 -especially with missing McGary who is out for the season. Maybe Mitch should've gone pro last year?? So the two players that stood out big time were the shooting guards.

Gary Harris is much improved from last year. He just seems a lot bigger and has taken the role as the #1 option on MSU. He really can do it all out there - was playing hard on the defensive end, had some nice iso plays, can shoot from all over. No surprise I suppose, he's projected top 10. But made me think if the worst case is the Jazz ending up with a player like Harris...there's no need to panic.

I noticed last night that Nick Stauskas cracked the draft board on draft express - #25. Check out his improvement from last year on the link below. He's shooting it better from both 3 and 2 and getting more assists. He loves to shoot the three (kyle korver type where you think every shot is going to go in) but also can drive, dunk and create other opportunities for teammates. He has compared his game to early Mike Miller. Nick has been working on his defense and I can tell there's an improvement from last year but it is still just ok. With Hardaway and Trey and McGary gone this year, he has really taken upon himself to pick up the slack - which I'm sure he didn't mind - he likes to shoot. Nick is a total gym rat and lives for basketball and will work hard in the offseason to improve and add something to his game...like Trey.

The biggest negative with Nick is his attitude - or i should say the inability to control his emotions which can be distracting for the team at times. He can really pout if things don't go his way or hang his head a bit if he is having an off night, or get pissed off in the huddle because of a bad call and his teammates will have to calm him. The flip side, he gets overly excited when things are going well. Been known to flash the three point goggles, and can get cocky at times (which usually gets the fans into it even more). That being said, the Jazz are really missing a guy like this on the team - someone that can really shoot it and help with spacing.

Anyway, sorry for the TLDR post. Just thought I'd put in my two cents on a couple players that I wouldn't mind the Jazz drafting. Go Blue....and Go Utes against Arizona this evening!!!!!

great post and thanks for sharing.

couple things I see in nick.

- great 3 point shooter but is he a 2 or a 3. if he is a 2 he has great size but is not a major need for the jazz with Hayward and burks both playing well. he will also severely struggle guard the 2 in the nba. if he is a 3 he no longer has great size he would be below average. I think he will be ok guarding 3s. this is a major need though for the jazz the 3.

- I wonder how nick would do if gr3 was doing well and pulling some of the attention away from him.

- I think he is a better defender the korver and can attack the basket better. I think mike miller is a better comparison.

- attitude is not as much a concern because I think they has a calming influence outon the floor. that will help keep nick in check some not to mention he would be no where near the alpha male on this team. one positive would be if his fire would help favors.

I have liked Gary Harris a lot inspite of PKMs dislike. if the jazz don't think they can resign burks because they want kanter more then I would love him on the jazz. I just like his oncourt demeanor. he plays like a professional. what I don't like is drafting him in the lottery late teens early 20s is where he belongs but he will go higher. 6-4 is just to short in today's nba for a 2 guard. not to mention he has been inconsistent this year with his shot and seems he might be a little injury prone.
