Following potential 2014 draftees

Burks settles for mid range Js when the drive is taken away. Sometimes it works, just as often it doesn't. His midrange J opens up his drives.
Also that's easier said than done. Teams tend to find out in the first quarter if a guy has a hot hand and if he's cold they dare him to shoot anything but a catch and shoot, while funneling the drives into help defender.
At the same time teams don't want to shoot 3s off the dribble, bring it to the basket, get easy buckets and not compromise the honesty of the defense they are facing.

love this post spot on about defense

so im hearing exum is going to muscle his way into the LA lakers. I heard he's got an aggent who is a total dick head that only will allow a few teams to work him out.

I see Lakers written all over this one.

Maybe this is a good thing? It could drop Wiggins or Parker down to us, if they're picking in the top 3 and we're 4th or something.

Heading into the 2014 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers might have their sights set on Australian phenom Dante Exum. Even though Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker might be available for the taking, Exum might be the player the Lakers go with and the interest appears to be mutual.

the Lakers selecting Exum appears to be highly likely if he’s available once the team is on the clock.

Parker didn't even shoot from outside the circle last night, literally all dunks. Maybe more of a product of a bad BC defense last night than anything.

nothing wrong with that. many thinks parker will be an elite mid range shooter anyway.

Guys!!! Guess what??? We're going to the state tournament!!! We went from being 9-18 last year to 22-6 this year. My averages on the year are 13 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.6 SPG, 45% from the field and 38% from three. Just haven't been on here cause I have been busy with basketball.. I miss all of you though.

Would you put this down to your meeting & shaking of the hand with PKM the GrandMaster himself last year at the Tucson Mall, AZ?!?! (i.e., imagine how many NCAA winners he had groomed).

Congrats bro. Proud of you's.

More on the Smart :

One NBA GM said Smart is overhyped. The GM added that Connecticut's Shabazz Napier, Missouri's Jordan Clarkson and West Virginia's Juwan Staten are less-heralded guard prospects who are just as good if not better than Smart.

"[Smart is] a pretty good player, a solid player, but there is a lot of hype," the GM said. "But by no means is he a superstar player. He's tough. Not necessarily a point guard or a shooting guard. He's a guard.

"There are other guards out there just as talented that aren't getting the publicity. He's going to be good, but he is being built up to fail early in his NBA career just like Kansas' Andrew Wiggins is."

Fixed.
DL trying to soften the blow when Utah lands at #8, misses out on Wiggins, Smart and Exum and then drafts Napier, Clarkson or Staten.
