Following potential 2014 draftees

Noel is either PF or C like Ibaka. So 76ers have flexibility and almost everyone in the 2015 class would be a fit in their frontcourt. 2016 will be frontcourt heavy as well going by what I hear from PGAB.

Ivan Rabb, Ben Simmons, Diamond Stone, Stephen Zimmerman, Skal Labissiere, Chance Commanche, Cheick Diallo, Carlton Bragg, Doral Moore, Chase Jeter, Thomas Bryant, and Caleb Swanigan just reclassified into the 2015 class

especially the first 6 or 7 look very studly

Wouldn't trade. Last season Ross's awareness has been their achilles heel in halfcourt defense. Gave up a lot of cuts and failed to recover after rotations. Errneous rotations. Would be just exchanging Burks's slashing vs Ross's spot up shooting. I think slashing is more important when I look at the incapability of Burke and Hayward to get to the rim.

fair enough. I dont know why the Raptors would do this trade but i figured id throw it out there, hes proven himself a starter and i think we'd be extremely lucky to find that at #23. defensively there's definitely concern, Ross is still listed at 195lbs.

I see what your intent is. He's about the same age as Gobert is, but I feel 2nd rounder should be more about fit, need and culture. I can't see both co-exist. If you have a trade for Gobert in place -> Do it! If not , stay away.

I think Tavares has a better feel for the game compared to Gobert.

agree with this, from what ive seen and read about 'Edy' Tavares i dont believe Rudy could have produced like he did as a starter in the ACB.

Its definitely not a 'fit' pick, I just dont like the idea of letting teams get a second chance to pick him, at-all. if Walter were to hit his ceiling, itd be damn scary, he gets the type of blocks that turn players into jumpshooters for the rest of the game.

and its speculation but im pretty sure his Hands are bigger than Vonleh's.. and he might have a bigger wingspan/standing reach than Rudy.. the thing is hes mobile not just a big body, his athleticism is clearly better than alot of 7'2" guys drafted, like Peter John Ramos, Ha Seung Jin and Hasheem Thabeet... id say he moves better than Roy Hibbert

Don't know if we're on the same page but I meant 2016 draft, not highschoolers. So the next two upcoming ones. I'm not yet familiar with half of the guys you've named.

Issue with Ross aren't his tools IMO, it's just he seems to lack the right mindset to develop them. Or all the draft experts overestimated his talent level.

Good thing about Tavares is that even when he's out of position he'll find a way to still contest shots. That can be frustrating. Especially for guards who like to finish around the basket in creative ways.

maybe im a bit confusing, but yeah we're on the same page. that list is from the 2015 HS class, or possible 1 and dones for the 2016 draft. theres definitely more than a handful of really intruiging NBA bodied bigs. Ben Simmons is a VERY polished HS player, ive seen a good bit of his footage and have read from a few places thats its hard to find a hole in his game.

I also forgot Georgios Papagiannis.

This has probably already been posted, but the guy who used to be the GM for the Blazer but now works for ESPN is "convinced the Jazz will be trading" the pick.

FWIW

Penn?

Jazz trading pick equals Kevin Love?

Who else out there is available and worth trading a top 5 pick for?

If he would sign I would be down, but I doubt he is the target.

Maybe he is talking about trading up.

I could see the Jazz trading this pick though. Everything after Jabari and Wiggins is just redundant for us. It's just hard to imagine what current player we would trade for. I'll think of something though. Give me a minute.

So which players in the league would we be willing to trade the pick for? And which are at least semi-realistic?

Honestly, Kevin Love is the only one I can think of right now. Maybe Melo, but for some reason I hate Melo.

Yes. And, he thinks the Magic are gonna take Vonleh, sliding Exum down to 5. But, we trade out.

If Exum slides and we trade out that would be a tragedy.

... If Orlando goes big, then they might be interested in the services of Trey Burke.

... And I wouldn't mind acquiring Mo Harkless.

Would you rather have #12 in this draft or Mo Harkless?

Damn, if Exum slides to us, and we don't take him, I will be so effing pissed.

If we get Exum, we could trade Burke, Kanter and our 23 and still get one of the power forwards from this draft. I would be excited about that. Imagine a draft where we get Exum and Vonleh/Gordon
