What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

I think players getting pigeon-holed into one specific position is a thing of the past except for a few exceptions (Gobert, hibbert, marc gasol)
Duncan is a 4/5, so is favors, kg, cousins can play some 4 sometimes, bosh is a 4/5. Same goes for wings.
Hell, draymond green played the 5 position in the finals.

I think Frank can be a 5 sometimes and a 4 at other times.

Spot on IMO.

Dunno if this has been posted yet:

I'll maybe post a little bit next week, as I'm still catching up on watching all the interesting prospects I'm not really familiar with.

That is a much better answer than "it doesn't matter because of Gobert". I agree with you completely. I still don't want any part of him and think there are better options at 12.

No way Hezonja fails in the NBA. Zero chance. 6' 8" athlete who shoots it in a variety of ways. Competitive. My No. 3 overall prospect.

18 points,(6/10 FG, 5/6 3p FG), 5 rbs, 1 ast, 2 stl in 25 minutes of play

To put it nicely: it looks like Sam Dekker is still adjusting to the NBA 3 point line. Missing a ton of shots as we watched.

...

Dekker still needs to "adjust" to the college 3 pt line. I like a lot about Dekker, but shooting is a major concern.

My worry with him is that he's not great at anything, he's a straight line driver and his handle is not great, so he'd have to rely on others to create shots for him and if he can't knock them down he becomes close to useless to an NBA team.

Can Kaminsky guard a 4? If he can't guard a 4 then he's gotta be a 5 in the NBA correct?

There's a strong chance he can't guard a lawn chair. Gobert can hide him against the bad teams, the good teams will still figure out ways to exploit him.
If Kaminsky isn't a great offensive player, he's probably a bust.

Is it me or does turner look like he moves just fine? He also looks more athletic than I previously thought.

After watching Perrin's interview on Dekker think he's definitely in the mix. Someone questioned his shooting and Perrin gave a "tell", by saying players don't have shooting coaches to improve their shot while in college. That translates to "we like him and can fix him". 6 more days.

Sounds like a lot of people like Portis and he's probably the safest pick in our area.

I have no issues there, though there are players I like ahead of him.

Still, he seems like he's solid and he brings one trait I love to the game: fire.
