Isn't Mitchell 6'3" with a 7' wingspan? Obviously Mitchell's wingspan is a strength not a weakness, but that is still a huge difference. Will DD ever be a competent switch defender?

Donte isnt a guy with ridiculous strengths other than a 42 inch vertical. However, he lacks a glaring weakness. Is he the best shooter? No. Can he shoot? Yes.
If he is a PG, he is tall. If he is a SG, he is tall enough. If he's a combo guard 6th man type, he is fine.
I'm not saying he is the best player in the draft. I'm just saying there is nothing I see that makes him a liability right off the bat.

The biggest thing I don't like about DD is he doesn't seem to fit into a switching defensive scheme. But at a certain point, you just say "**** it" and take players that won't break the team and just kick ***. That's my take on DD.

He is under the average on both measurments for a 2-guard at both slots, therefore he is undersized. Being undersized is a weakness in the NBA. No one said it was a death knell or that he couldnt play because of it. Every play in the NBA has a weakness. Stop being a cry baby. You said some stupid **** (no weaknesses) and we corrected you. It was father's day yesterday and you just got sonned.
They probably do it with everyone who has a night over and agrees to it.

I think nearly everyone here has expressed liking him to some extent. Just because we dont love a player as much as you, or we recognize that a player has a weakness, doesnt mean we hate them or dont think they can play. Please reference when I did a top 30 and had him within the top 30.
