Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I wonder... do they think they can hide him even in the private workouts with the teams and hope to get drafted in the first?

I don't think it's about hiding, it's just that most of the guys who are playing are 2nd round picks and it's not organized. The odds are you are going to look worse than looking better given the format.

For a lot of people him playing in a 5x5 unorganized scrimmage would be their first impression of him. That's a huge chance for a big negative.

I think it's crazy for a guy like Evans to play, but at least if he does bad it won't be that big of a deal because teams have 3 seasons of seeing him playing.

If Simons plays poorly it's a much bigger impact since all you have on him is high school and AAU play.

He won't be there at 21.

Jevon Carter looks good in the scrimmage - very disruptive on D, knocking down shots off the dribble too...

Doncic might not come over this year...

I would use #21, the non-guaranteeds, take back a bad contract, add a future top 5 protected 1st, whatever to get him if he drops a little bit. If he would want to play with us, he might come right away. If he doesn't, that's okay too as long as he comes next year or by 2020 at the latest.
It's amazing how much of a fuss from nothing the US media can generate. The guy is still playing games and has final 4 tournament starting tomorrow. What do you want him to say? "Oh, sure, I'm out on Monday." the day before his most important games of the season with his current team? Of course he will say he will make decision after the season. Don't buy the stupid narrative generating machine that is ESPN. He will play in the NBA next year.

I think so too, but he could have dodged the question. He was clear - I'm not sure if I'm playing in the NBA next year. Most guys as hyped as him have been pretty clear to their Euro team and fan base that they are coming when they are intending to come. While I agree he's probably coming, this was poor timing on his part. Could cost him millions if he dropped a couple spots.

Dude, its pretty clear what he means. He doesn't want to go to the Kings.

Unless you offer Mitchell, or maybe Rudy, the Jazz can't get him.

Probably right. I can't see him dropping out of the top 5 unless he says he'll only come over for a team outside of the top 5.

And nobody in the top 5 has an absolutely horrendous contract we could absorb which would act as an asset for the other team. For example, if a team like Orlando was picking #2, and he said he didn't want Orlando, we could potentially trade non-guaranteeds, Burks' expiring, #21 and future first rounders for guys like Fournier (terrible contract), Biyombo (awful contract) and #2. Orlando would get a much needed roster reset and multiple first rounders. But Orlando isn't in the top 3 so it's a moot point.

Svi Mykhailiuk almost 6'8" in shoes with a 6'4.75" wingspan. Is this the worst case of t-rex arms in combine history? Dude can shoot though, I'd love him in the second.
