Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Cuz they all white AF? *shrug* I’d also prefer a 6’ 6”+ legit point to be black but right now the only two are white. PGs don’t need to be pure, but their mentality/role should still primarily be setting up the offense/their teammates and Harper really does not look like that to me. It would be one thing if he didn’t have any teammates, but Ace Bailey is supposed to be a top-5 talent. Egor and Kasparas don’t have anyone at their side of that talent calibre and yet they’re still diming.

All the noise about Harper on top of that with his dad, too… I don’t know, I just don’t love the vibe coming from all of that (low assist production + a camp already steering where he lands = not great indicators of unselfishness).
Its a formula... and yes white will be part of it but the tall playmaker with not a ton of athleticism will really appeal to the hipsters. We used to get video breakdowns of the eye contact Giddy would make on SLOB plays before making an amazing pass... and I'd just be over here going "but can he shoot" and hipster NBA would put their pinky's up grab a kombucha and be like "what a basic little bitch". It isn't just white guys.

I like both guys and probably have some hipster tendencies so... shrug.

Harper I am 100% good on. Both concerns with dad (he actually walked it back so whatevs) and his game. Ace is pretty concerning for me but I get it and will have him top 5 I'm sure. I think Harper gonna be big body Brunson and justify having the offense revolve around him... don't really care that his assist numbers might be a little meh for a traditional pg.

If Queen was bigger I'd be more bullish, but he is on the smaller side of what a passable center can be in the NBA.
Seems to be dunking a bunch. I want to know the measurements but I bet he close to Alpy size. there were rumors that Alpy grew a couple inches and I kinda believe it so not sure the draft measurements are the perfect ones for him.

Yeah, I think he is big enough to be a very good center, but Im not going to go crazy and project him to be a star with his size.

I guess I didn’t know anything about this hipster thing you’re talking about.

I guess I’m a hipster. Ain’t nothing better than a team zipping the ball everywhere and getting the best possible shot out of it (especially dunks and threes).

Queen looks really good. The team that drafts him will probably want him to stretch his range, but he should be able to do it. He actually reminds me a bit of Sengun. If he's featured, he looks skilled enough to score 20 ppg.

The need for bigs to shoot is greatly overrated. Operating in the dho is much more important

Purely as prospects, Kasparas is kind of reminding me a bit of DLO when he was at Ohio St. Kas is not quite the volume shooter, but also much more efficient. The size, shooting, passing, steals package is super high value. DLO with brains is a great prospect.
I LOVED Dlo at ohio state. Haven't watched any of Kasparas but if he is looking like colleg Dlo then im in on him.

I may be in the minority, but I have Rocco Zikarsky as a lottery talent. He's long, super bouncy, runs the floor and motors, has great hands and has some shooting touch. He's not glamorous, but he should be an effective 5 in the NBA. By contrast, Maluach has these long stretches where he just seems to disappear.

A few more recent highlights...

Maybe for a team that doesn't have Walker Kessler.

With Hendricks' injury and Cody Williams having significant question marks, the Jazz really need their top pick in this draft to hit. I'd look for them to be somewhat risk-averse and take someone they're certain can be a major contributor, even without major strides in development. If they don't get a top-3 pick, I think they'd go with Egor or Kasparas. Then they'd have a high-level lead initiator with some two-way upside, something they sorely need.

Edgecombe is a bit difficult to envision because he really needs the ball to be effective on offense, but he doesn't look to be efficient or skilled enough to have it consistently.

Tre Johnson is bigger and should be better than Keyonte at the 2-guard. He's a nice option in the top 6 or so picks, but he doesn't look like he's going to be an on-ball creator consistently, which does limit his upside a bit.
