Game 2 - Jazz at Suns - 11/1/13 @8:00 PM Mountain Time - Root Sports, 1280/97.5 The Zone

Kanter is not right. Im not sure if it is physical or mental or..... maybe this is what it looks like when a player who hasn't really played in 3 years tries to come back from an injury while playing twice as many minutes as he did before.

I'm baffled by this comment. Kanter's doing fine.

The better coach won tonight.

Just imagine if Hornacek were coaching the jazz and Corbin the Suns. We would have blown out the suns by double digits.

Funny, our best player, Burks, hardly played last year too...

Our best players, Favors, Kanter, and Burks, racked up a ton of DNPs/games of less than 25 mins over the past 2 years. Hell, our coaching is so "brilliant" that Burks is still not playing enough. Why? Because somehow our coach thinks that Jl3/tinsley need to play. Sigh

We have the worst coach in the league.

Wow, I'm baffled by this comment. He has not looked good at all. Look at his rebound numbers from last preseason. They were off the charts outrageous. He has been blocked 6 times in two games. His post defense has been mediocre. He stuffed himself on the rim after a dead ball to the glee of the Suns' fans. He has not been aggressive in the post like he was last year when he banged into people. The list goes on.

free throws and turnovers...again.
Yep.

Also with Burke out the Jazz have the worst PG rotation in the NBA, wouldn't matter who starts or comes off the bench because every team has 2 PG's better then them, hard to win and hard for a young team to overcome that.

Imagine that, the bench plays bad on the road, see most benches most nights but especially this the Jazz bench. Like has been said with injuries they have one of the top 3 or 5 worst benches once all the players come back it will still take a little time to integrate them and them get back in shape.

I really like Hayward and hope the Jazz can keep him but this is two games in a row he had a pretty good start but tough second half, last game I could say foul trouble helped that. He still did some things like assists (tonight) and steals (last game) but hopefully he is learning and learning fast.

Oh and whoever said they called it, I called it first in the off season thread talking about the schedule when it was first released.

Enjoy this candor before the Jazz SS mutes him like they did Kanter

Guy's coming back from an injury. Keep calm, yo. He's doing fine, on the way back up.

I like this, I also agree with him. Glad he's upset about it and hopefully improve upon it. He's raw and will make many many mistakes but at least have an impact on the game with aggressiveness.

Sounds like a glass half empty/half full kind of thing to me. I hope he pulls it together, of course. I wish I had your optimism.

I don't understand the pessimism anyway. Dude got 20 and 10 while playing like a putz for stretches. Remember the Bobcats game last year? That's in there somewhere. Injury ****ed it up. Also, he needs a haircut

It's hard to criticize the team when we are not really built to win this year, but man our bench is bad.

On a positive note, we are winning the Tanking battle since Orlando, Philadelphia, and Phoenix all have Ws.

But Boston is leading in - point differential. We need to get blown out couple times to catch them up!

Is it just me or it seems that Hayward and Burks can't be on the floor on the same time for a long period of time.

or maybe they just need a better PG with them.

Both are playmakers. Hayward had 8 assists. Play them together and they have to take turns driving to the hoop. Gordon will get in the lane and pass it. Alec will try a circus shot. Having Burks come off the bench is perfect. Really, both of them act like a PG. What we need is a player like Derek Fisher was...a PG in name, but really just someone who can hit the open 3 when the ball gets thrown back outside.
