Game 2 - Jazz at Suns - 11/1/13 @8:00 PM Mountain Time - Root Sports, 1280/97.5 The Zone

Lucas is shockingly bad. Is there a better PG for a tank than a scoring PG who can't score? He played 31 minutes, 2-10 FGs and 1 assist. You gotta love it, baby!

Seriously. We're basically playing 4 on 5... and still almost winning these games. Team should be really quite good once Burke and Rush come back. And to a lesser extent, Marvin Williams.

I am amazed, no absolutely shocked, that people are bagging on Kanter's game. Preseason is over and yet people keep saying he's not rebounding. Wake up people he's had over 10 rebounds in both games. He had 12 tonight. On two of his shots that were blocked he was hacked and it wasn't called. He battled like a warrior and I don't understand the hate. People act like he is supposed to score on every possession.

Hayward my 10 million dollar per year player played like 12 million per year tonight. Good job! And to think when he was drafted I thought he couldn't play defense. Hayward is solid, good player. I just think he is a third option on a contending team. However, I loved his game tonight except I wish he would have pushed up on that last play. Still that was a great shot by Bledsoe.

Burks make a few more free throws and and you become unstoppable. Corbin give the guy more minutes.

Favors your defense has improved and it was already awesome. I like how you are not fouling out.

Corbin's substitution patterns still make me want to puke, but at least Kanter got more than 30 mins. That is improvement on the coaching end.

In all the jazz fought and played hard. I've got few complaints. I love this Jazz team.

Agreed we're playing great ball 4v 5 when Burke and Rush get back we're quiet competitive might endanger the tank though:)

I disagree. Among other things, he's not nearly as automatic in the post as I thought he was going to be.

Colton I hope your joking. Kanter is playing great considering he is coming back on injury and couldn't play ball this summer. Yes he is making some stupid mistake, mostly on the defensive side of the ball, but he is really playing hard. He was our leading scorer and rebounder tonight.

Season averages (yes it's only two games)

Favors 14.5 ppg, 13rpg, 4.5 apg
Kanter 17ppg, 11rpg
Hayward 15ppg, 7rpg, 6apg
Burks 19.5ppg, 4rpg, 4apg

Good stuff

Favors all-around game is so much better than last year. Not a great scorer but he seems to have some concept of not committing a bevy of different offensive fouls as well as passing nicely and even throwing in some nice post moves.

Favors looks so much better so far. Just his understanding of the game and his offensive comfort level.

I don't understand the pessimism anyway. Dude got 20 and 10 while playing like a putz for stretches. Remember the Bobcats game last year? That's in there somewhere. Injury ****ed it up. Also, he needs a haircut

His body type doesn't allow him to be effective unless he's in incredible shape and he just is not right now. He's ****ing cursed or something, but he doesn't look right.

damn, how i wish hornacek was our coach

hopefully this will be the final season of ty

so we missed on hornacek and brad stevens, who's next?

This team is awesome.
They keep the competition close enough to call it a game, yet still manage to lose it!
Young Guns are playing, Jazz are losing!
This is called improvement!
Special Tanks to "great" coach TyCo.

We really have a bench like ****. Its hard to win, if you have only one player named Burks who can score out of your starting line-up. Am I the only one who much more wants to see some stretball moves and passes from Tinsley than this stupid chuking from Josh Lucas ?

That bench will improve when we get Trey, and Rush back.

Marvin meh, I guess.

I felt like Hayward gave Bledsoe a little too much room. It was obvious he was going to shoot it. I wish Hayward would have used his height and bogy to get in him more.

I'm baffled by this comment. Kanter's doing fine.

Kanter is doing fine...

But his loss off size and strength is noticeable. Just look at his arms. Kanter used to be a beast. Not anymore. Even his explosiveness (which wasn't great to begin with) is a lil down. However, he's still finding ways to score, which is great.

His biggest problem (and it always has been) is passing out of the post. He's almost as bad as Big Al on the block.
