What's new

Game Thread: SAS @ Utah, Fri 7:00 p.m.

If any one still thinks Hayward is a MAX player you better throw away the tape of this game. Dude is pathetic tonight and he is playing extremely selfish tonight.

Who else is going to take shots on this team? And Max players do have bad nights every once in a while too, you know.

Hey Jazz players you need to watch the tape of this game and how the Spurs took over the 4th. That is how a championship level team does it.

He just had like 5 really good games in a row. One bad shooting night, and all of a sudden he is garbage?

It was just 3 games and despite this he was like 33 Percent from the 3 point line. I do not say, that he is a bad player, but he can not have 20 points a game, on a consitent base. He is just not a max player and never will be...

Certainly guys have bad games. Favors and Kanter might help beside if your jumper isn't going you take it to the hoop. Basketball is a team sport you have to use your teammates even if they can't shoot. Many times Hayward was dribble around like Pistol Pete and then he would just chuck it up. Smart players don't keep throwing up outside shots, they mix it up.

Hayward IS NOT a MAX player. He never will be.

I was going to post that Hayward has been playing selfishly in order to get a big contract at the end of the year, but then i remembered he was injured in the last game and there was some doubt whether he would even play tonight. Going to withhold comment because of injury.

-Shameful night for Hayward. Not because he struggled, but because of how he played offensively. He was too selfish. He's still learning how to be a primary offensive option.
-Great night for Favors. His offense looked pretty good. He's been much more aggressively lately.
-Actually kind of glad we lost (that's for you Spycam).

I forgot Hayward was injured. I will give him some slack but his injury doesn't explain why he was playing selfishly.

Join me, and I will show you the true power of the Dark Side of the Tank.

5-23 (21.8%) is not going to win Hayward any points around the league.

Favors was a beast tonight; glad we locked him up.

Kanter just got cold in the 4th, not being involved in any offensive play. I just can not realize how our statistically most efficient scorer, is getting like all of his shots by offensive rebounds. Especially Hayward is jucking to much with his pull up shots of the dribble, like he think he is MJ....

Favors showed us today, how a BIG-MAN have to play. Kanter has to play as aggressiv just as Favors does.

Hayward made a great pay on inside PnR with favors where they were stuck and he jump faked a shot to draw Duncan off Favors. Pass, score, assist.

Kid ballin'.

Also he kind of has this burden to take shots. I mean, who else is going to take shots on this team? Kanter was playing like a bum tonight, and they were doubling Favors a lot.

With Favors looking like he is a legitimate post up option, it might be time to have Kanter start stretching the floor a little more. The guy can hit the mid range shot and shoots 90% free throws lets test that out a little further.
