What's new

Game Thread: SAS @ Utah, Fri 7:00 p.m.

Holy ****! Gobert had 5 rebounds in three minutes! He's going to go for a 40 rebound game?
Looking back at Hayward's stats, I can't help but think that he was trying to pad his stats at the end. He was shooting way too often.

I would say he is not taking games off anymore!

I don't think he ever was. However I do think he was allowing something to affect his game mentally. He comes back from the road trip, and it's as if contacted Karl Malone and all of a sudden he is rolling again.

Hayward is not a point guard. Parker is. That is Parker's job to break down the defense. Whatever though, I am done listening to this guy who is judging the whole season on one game.

What a crybaby!! Negative rep me because I am not agreeing with you. LOL I guess the Jazz should start building a statue for Hayward. You can bash Kanter but if I point out the fact that Hayward played selfishly or poorly you cry like a big baby. Just for the record I think Hayward is a good player but he deserves a lot of criticism for THIS game and I have been on record saying that Hayward is NOT a max player so I am not judging him on ONE game.

I negged you because you are freaking out after one bad game. He played extremely well last game, and has for most of the season.

I agree, I was just saying that because of the thread the other day insinuating that Favors was coasting and taking games off. Favors is a real good player.

PKM in the standing, yes it is a loss but it was a game that I had counted as a loss. However losses are good this year.

Did Stephen Curry get a MAX deal?

No, and his agent has been criticized for this. Indeed, Curry is probably one of the reasons Hayward held out, i.e., his (Hayward's) agent did not want the same thing to happen. Any team in the league would pay Curry a max contract.

If BIG-AL would have a 5-22 shooting you would rape his whole family in this threads. Bu oyunu AL yapsa, ne ANASI kalirdi ne AVRADI...

which is why he signed. He is better than his contract but with his injuries he had to take the guarenteed money

For sure, but if he would have gone to RFA, he would have gotten Max after playing like he did last year. For him though, it was probably worth getting locked up to a decent contract, assuming the risk he would be injured again.

You are comparing Hayward to Curry, who is shooting like 8 threes a game, with 46 percent from the field ?

This was a good game.. we lead most of the game and gave it away at the end. That's ok, we're young. I think coaching and the lack of a point guard were the difference in the 4th tonight. I know we're blaming Hayward for shooting too much, but that was due to the plays that were being run.. the Spurs were daring him to shoot it.

We've got some great players.. and I'd even be ok with bringing back Jefferson next season if he'll accept a small deal. He's an ideal role player off the bench.

Nobody is comparing them, they play different positions, and Curry is obviously playing like a max player. All anyone is saying is that it is beneficial for Hayward to hold out for more money, as he does not have an injury history, and he keeps improving.
