Gamethread: jazz in Milwaukee playing "just one game" at 18:00

I'd give it to Kanter. He got to the line a little where Al did not. Kanter shot a much higher % than Al. Kanter did it in less time. Kanter had less fouls. Kanter played D.

I'd give it to Kanter too. Hard not to.
As Cakar stated too... How many guys did this in there second start?? I would think probably no one either.

Also- Very likely Paul will play and Favors will start if Paul plays.
Mo may be back to play on Wednesday.

So i think the jazz record without big al is now 6 wins and 1 loss..... also of those 7 games minus jeffy, 2 of them were wins by 30 pts or more. (i think the toronto game was a 33 pt victory)
What is interesting is that the Jazz played the Bobcats less than 2 months ago. Kanter had 2 points, 2 rebounds and 2 turnovers in 14 minutes on 1-6 shooting (plus/minus of -15, worst on the team). Al Jefferson had 26 points and 8 rebounds in 32 minutes on 11-16 shooting (plus/minus of +24, best on the team).

Kanter is far from being a reliable producer even against horrible teams at this stage of his career. He will become a reliable force, but lets not get carried away by one game.

I've got you covered:

Al Jefferson will miss his second straight game tonight with sprained left ankle

Paul Millsap remains a game time decision vs Milwauee

Derrick Favors will likely start if Paul Millsap goes. Coach Corbin said Millsap went through shootaround.

Interesting,
So Enes goes 23-22 in 44 minutes, took 12 shots, made 10 of those shots. Enes took 4 free throws, made 3.
Big Al goes 28-26 in 54 minutes, took 25 shots, made 14 of those shots. Big Al took no free throws.

I will give this to Al, he only had 1 turnover to Enes' 5 turnovers, but one stat that really impressed me. Enes only had 1 foul in 44 minutes.

Looking at all this, and considering Enes is 20, the future looks really bright and I'm ready for it to began.

I'd give it to Kanter too. Hard not to.

Sorry I misinterpreted what you meant. I thought you meant, with the bolded part, that you were saying Big Als was more impressive. My mistake.

If Paul can go, we will probably need him. Illysova and Udoh would push around Evans.

I take this to mean that we will see a starting line up of either Kanter/Millsap/Marvin/Foye/Watson or Kanter/Favors/Marvin/Foye/Watson.

Interesting.

i am likeing what this game can potentially look like. i think with al out we have a real team. after all ther is no al in team

they play better team ball the move better the rely and eachother more. its waht real jazz ball is all about. time for a good win. there is no al in playing with heart either..... um unless you move letters, but still, yall get it.

Is that what you meant? I read it as if Millsap starts, Favors will start alongside him.

Good to see the Jazz want to rest Big Al for another game, no need to hurry him back anytime soon ;)

agreed. lets rest him till he is back to 100% heck let him watch tv too.. i am thinking a training video about defensive sets in basketball...

No I meant it the way I had it. I took it as if Millsap starts then Favors will not.

Bill Oram ‏@tribjazz
Tyrone Corbin said if Paul Millsap is able to play, Derrick Favors will likely start at center with Kanter coming off the bench

Just saying. Of course "likely" isn't "definitely".
